First let me say I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
You did teh right thing having Sunny put to sleep so he didn't have to suffer. If he was 15 years old that means you had given him a good life and taken good care of him.
I don't know what breed he was but a 15 year old dog no matter what is an old age.
Just remember you did the best thing.
remember the good times. Thank God you had him for so long. he isn't suffering.
I will say it's only time that will take the pain away of loosing him but you did the right thing.
Hope you will be ok and try to do the best as you can. It's like loosing a family membber. It just takes time.

sad times man.. well you need to remember he was a good dog and you were a better owner to keep a dog for fifteen years. that is a great feat. the average age for a dog's lifespan is 7-12 years even less for bigger dogs ,so you out lasted the best of them. dont fret for long sure be sad but get a new companion as soon as you feel ready.

I remember losing my old Ginger cat of around 12 years. It's hard at first but life goes on. I still occasionally think of my lost pets and sigh, but I am happy because I know that I gave them very happy and comfortable lives. I feel your pain, you have lost a friend, I hope you feel better soon. Just think how happy you would have made Sunny in his or her lifetime.

so sorry. my daughter made a picture using photos of her cat and it helped her in her grief.
Also making a memorial for your dog can help .
If you are thinking of getting another pet wait awhile then you will be able to without getting upset.
good luck.. I believe your pets are family members so give yourself time to grieve and remember the happy times..

aww, he is in a better place now where he doesnt have to suffer and if you miss him that much you could get another dog and i know you may think that sounds crazy but it will make you feel better to have someone to comfort you and keep your feet warm on those long winter nights. It'll be okay I promisee =]

You will see your dog again in Heaven........I had dreams 3 to be exact of my dog that had passed away, His name was Leo. They were all about him coming in to safe me from these monsters.... Just try not to think about it that often. You will see your beloved dog soon ,and so will I.
