Why do people need to put others down, or feel they need to get revenge?

People that often judge others, talk bad about them, or hurt others are trying to cover up their own weaknesses by putting negative energies on others. These types of people are usually insecure, envy others for what they don't have or are not getting, and and hungry for any type of attention they can get. I feel sorry for them, they have to resort to the lowest of social norms just to survive.

Revenge is usually after some dusch-bag hurts someone else for no good reason at all. Just take a look at the posts on this forum written by pale dusch-bags; this sort of mentality goes on outside of this forum daily. It's endless with their condescending and demented rhetoric and blabber. Revenge is taken upon these ones who don't think before they hurt others; you know when they get out of line and commit some act of discrimination or hate.

I think people do it to make themselves feel better...in the end though it just makes them feel worse. I know I have been guilty of this and I didnt like myself when I did....I guess the saying is true, misery loves company but, we had a wonderful sermon today at the Kingdom Hall where the brother was talking about friendship and he talked a lot about not judging our fellow man because Jehova doesnt like it and I believe that to be true....He is the only judge.

Princess, unfortunately it's just human nature. I do my best not to do it myself although at times I fail. As I have gotten older I have realized that it can really do damage to talk about others or to do something mean or vengeful. I work very hard at not doing that sort of thing anymore. I have one particular person that I work with and I really don't like her very much at all. she is the office gossip and trouble maker. The more I have found out about her life the more I have decided that it is a method of coping (I guess would be the best word I can think of). She is extremely unhappy in her current life situations and I suppose that it makes her feel better about her life to constantly disrupt others lives. I have learned to ignore her now and it seems to have worked to a degree. I don't think that we will ever change that in people the best advise I can give is to do your best not to be one of those people.

your BF demands to hold his remedy classes among you and the therapist. It is NEVER well to speak approximately courting trash with the household... his household will continually take his facet after which while you men are doing well, they nonetheless will believe unwell approximately you. I made this error in my first marriage (my ex is a whole prick) and once we had been getting alongside, my Mom nonetheless did not desire him over for dinner. It sucked... wow, the worst twelve years of my existence. besides, my present husband and I do good enough however many times we have now a tiff... and I continually hold it among the 2 people. I NEVER inform my father and mother whatever poor approximately him... in the event that they ask how matters are going, I inform them that they're pleasant. You must convey this up and speak to him out on it in remedy. Then be a truly smarty pants and ask for the complete household to visit a consultation so you'll air the entire factor out with you gift to supply your facet. That's what I might do... LOL, rise up for your self!

Good question. Judging stems from feelings of inadequacy, I would imagine. Probably the same for talking bad.

Yeah I think you're right..... I also think that some people do this to make themselves feel better about their own self.

Eg.... One says to another 'You're ugly', obviously is unkind, are they just trying to say that they are unsure of themselves, so feel the need to put others 'down'.

Sometimes people are just nasty.....

Imagining that they are better than others helps them to feel better about themselves.

NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, THERE'S ALWAYS SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO FEELS SUPERIOR TO YOU!
