The Husband by Dean Koontz. Next is Fatal Burn by Lisa Jackson if I don't start Grisham's The Street Lawyer first. Waiting on the next Stephen King novel as well.

I have just finish the entire Summer Boys series by Hailey Abbott. Each of these books are amazing and they are interesting and not the same as the last one. You will read this from cover to cover in one sitting.
It is about 4 cousins that go to Pebble Beach each summer. This is where the hook ups, break ups, love and hate happen. I don't want to ruin the story by saying anymore.
This is just a must read series.

For what it's worth, the "big book" I am curently reading is Conrad Black's biography of President Roosevelt (1200 pages — I'm about a third of the way into it and read a chaper every few days). It's absorbing, if you like biography, because it gets into the details of what made Roosevelt tick, and why he was so successful, despite the challenges he faced personally (he was disabled physically by polio) and externally (steering his way through three terms in the Presidency and the beginning of a fourth term, in which he, the U.S. and the world wre dealikng with the great depression and then the Second World War and the challenges of vicious dictatorships seeking global power). Black expresses all kinds of personal opinions in the course of developing his picture of Roosevelt, and this is of particular interest at this time, since the author, Conrad Black (Lord Black) is the major figure in a high-profile criminal trial in Chicago, where he is accused of business fraud and potential faces prison sentences of up to 100 years (in a highly controversial procedure).

I've read many amazing books lately. If you're going to the beach and want something to read while there, I suggest the "Sisterhood the the Traveling Pants" series. If you are in the mood from something darker, I'm would recommend "Dr. Franklin's Island" by Ann Halam. Either way, you have a great adventure in store for you when you crack over the cover.

The last book I read is Harm None: A Rowan Gant Investigation. It was a good book, but there are a couple of gorry parts in it (because the killer is mutilating the bodies). You also have to have an open mind, but it was a pretty good book for beach or anywhere. But depends on your tastes.

I just finished "THe Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. It is a medieval historical fiction about the building of a cathedral. It is very interesting with lots of action. It is about 1000 pages but it goes fast.
