Sadly, "Super Glues" (methyl-2-cyanoacrylate) are difficult to clean up !!

Acetone, which is sometimes found in nail polish remover, is a commonly available solvent capable of softening cured cyanoacrylate. Low temperatures cause cyanoacrylate to become brittle. Cyanoacrylate's bonds can be weakened (allowing disassembly) by placing a glued object in a household freezer for several hours.

As a modeller, I get TINY amounts of it on a model... and just sand it smooth with a FINE emory-board. BECAREFUL because MOST plastic is softer than the cyanoacrylate !! Acetone may ALSO damage the plastic you're trying to clean / repair.

Try using nail polish remover. Make sure and get the kind with acetone in it. When I worked at a doctor's office, this is what they used to remove super glue from people that got some on themselves.

First you can go to a hobby shop and by stuff to remove this type of glue. You can also try plain old ordinary toothpaste. Nothing fancy. Something like Colgate on the end of a Q-tip and slowly rub it on the area. It acts like rubbing compound on a car.

Acetone should work, but you should get nail polish remover that is 100% acetone, not the diluted stuff. Rub it on with a q-tip and wash it off when you are done. It won't damage the plastic unless you actually let it soak.

Umm..maybe sandpaper it? Use some nail varnish remover or white spirit? But that may discolour the plastic. Hope my suggestion helps...

Try putting it in the freezer and after an hour or two see if it will come off.

Good luck!

Try alcohol, lighter fluid, or fingernail polish remover.

I don't think so but you can use a woman's nail board to rub it down and buff up shiny again.
