well, I am a 43 yr old mother and went to school to be an esthetician and nail tech but i haven't taken a job in either so i can help you. Take care of your skin by using a good cleanser at a beauty supply not cvs.. use a toner after and a good moisturizer , use an exfoliante now and then. I found Copperone has a great sunless tanner it's about $7 and it is a white cream that really gives you a nice color(subtle). you can always go to the beauty schools and have your hair done really really inexpensively! they wont goof up because the teachers are there to make sure. Shop at a marshall's or tj maxx, they usually have stylish clothes for great prices. Try to not mimick what your daughter is wearing it may be too young for you and will make you look cheap or just not good! keep an eye on your diet.. I eat fat free and walk every night.. email me if you'd like : ronnier101@yahoo.com, Rhonda

In order for you to look elegant and stylish always stick with sleek lines, those that are very flattering, and that will help sculpt your figure...be honest with what suits and doesn't suit you, always wear heels they help to make you hold yourself upright and stand differently and more elegantly...never forget to use very simple but stylish accessories to compliment what you are wearing.... the key to looking elegant is if you are well put together with simple but very stylish clothes that compliment your figure in every way, the next thing is your hair, use good conditioners, that make your hair shiny and look healthy, if you wear make up remember less is more and a good lipgloss plumps the lips, subtle eye shadows that compliment the colour of your eyes is good to go with, you do not need to go to a beauty parlour to achieve this
Sorry i got carried away because i always make sure i'm well put together so i know what i'n talking about... i hope this helps.

by being yourself . i know makeovers might sound ok ( and indeed feel ok ) but at the end of the day you don't need to have spent bucketloads of money and time --- just to " change " an image for the sake of it or to impress -- the way i look at it is that you sdhould be proud of how you are ( and at 47 --- you'd have had to let yourself go --- to be worried ) to many people worry about what someone else thinks --- you'd be better served worrying about you !!
with a beautiful name like yours --- i think that's more than elegant --- and indeed stylish ! good luck

Well this is what my mom does. She keeps the makeup light. She uses a brown eyeliner, with a pastel colored green eyeshadow, with brown mascara. For lips she uses pinks, not dark pinks. For your hair. Codition, Condition, Condition! As we age our hair folicles become course and fine. My mom uses revitalizing conditioning creme from panteen. For dressing. Tone it down a knoch. Make sure you are shopping in the women's department. Look for suits for work that look good on your body and show off curves. For a casual look look for capris in the summer with a nice flipflop or sandel. no tanktops! <

I am sure you look fine.
It may just be a down day, but look into the mirror and you will see a delightful smile, a beautiful face and wonderful woman.
You have children as you said they are your wealth and strength.
Have a wonderful day
