There is a way for you to identify your motherboard. Go to this site http://www.pcnineoneone.com/howto.html
and look under "Hardware", click "how to identify motherboard", it should guide you through in several steps to find the type and made of your motherboard. I hope this helps.

Best of Luck!

Most motherboards come with a manual and a CD which has all the drivers for the chipset and devices installed on the motherboard (contained in the various chips).

Ask your vendor what you bought and if not then open the case and look for the writing on the motherboard. There is usually an identifier code near the PCI slots like GA-N700R or something along those lines. Also look for a FCC number. You can then do an online search for the maker.

Realtek NIC (network interface card) in this case a chipset, is usually installed with the motherboard drivers. So you should only have to download the driver set from the mfr of the motherboard and do the install for the realtek nic. If the windows info is telling you the chipset for the realtek (eg: 8139) then you only need that driver to set it up. Someone you know might have this driver and available online.

Try the Belarc Advisor, free from:

OR

Open the case and look for the model # on the MoBo.

Install all motherboard drivers to correct your other problems, the CD came with the motherboard. The NIC driver is there.

get a free program called belarc advisor, it should tell you everything that can be known without opening up the case. if it doesn't, open up the case. motherboard model numbers are usually written close to your pci-e slot (video)

when you boot up your PC, it should show your motherboard model. Something like K7-VTA2 or something like that. add the brand then there you have it.
