Rep want free business and government control of your morals, Dems want free morals and government controls of your business. Libertarians want free morals and free business with NO government control. They are not all the same.
Now, that being said, there is no telling if a libertarian in office would act the same way as the rest since their are none in office other then Ron Paul...and he is far from the same as the rest. I believe that if you have a real libertarian in office you will se dramatic changes. I also believe that the libertarian party is by far the best party to be in.
Libertarians are the ONLY party that wants to decrease the size of government so small that they have no way to interfere with your personal life. WOW, what a concept, I can make my own choices and no tworry that the government is going to tell me I chose wrong.
I am not sure what you are reading about libertarians but there i sno way they smell like repubicrats or democlans. They are the only party of prinicple. We would do well to make friends with libertarians as they will be the saviors of this country after the dems and reps rape us enough that the general populist will finally see what theyare all about and want to do something.
Based on your question it appears you are ready for change. Take the smallest political quiz and see where you stand. If you leam libertarian I recommend you find a local libertarian group and start to explore. Once educated the ignorance willbe gone and you will see the light for what it is.
Welcome to the revolution.

This appalling development only highlights how corrupt and arrogant our political system has become. The 'Republicrats' have put such a stranglehold on this political monopoly that they can get away with anything.
It's time for the American people to finally do what their Constitution allows them to do: "to keep and bear arms' against a tyrannical, oppressive government that does absolutely nothing for its citizenry except piss away trillions of taxpayers' dollars on insane, illegal, immoral, and unproductive projects - everything from an unconstitutional war in Iraq to a needless bridge in Alaska - all because our elected officials have long forgotten that they are supposed to be public servants, not some kind of pompous royalty. -RKO- 06/03/07

One of the biggest problems is that the new politicians who win based on promises of change in Washington, quickly find out that they will never have the power to effect change because of the Lifer Maggot politicians who really run that town, with the full blessing of their constituents.
The voters of the districts and states represented by these very well known congressmen are the only ones who have the power to change anything.
They will never vote their money machines out of office, ergo, no real changes will ever take place in DC.

I know this is crazy, but at the moment I hate politics. How does one person, one person know how to rule a country? I know people will say it’s not one person, it’s a whole community of people, when in the end it’s up to just one person, ever sat down to a democratic meeting, or what we call democratic. They all are just a huge bunch of guys who want to keep power in their hands for as long as possible, because power helps them earn money. Which they need again to hold power right along.
It’s like wild animals hunting for their food. It’s like eagles swooping for their food, it’s like a thousand ants jumping at one piece of food. We ask for politicians to rule our country so they can help rule our life (they do rule our life, they comeup with the rules, don’t they?). I’ve had enough, I’ve had enough, I hate politics. Politicians are something to be anihilated from the Earth. What the hell does a “professional politician” term mean? I thought politicians are meant to be ordinary people whom we pay money to, so that they can devote their time to managing our country’s processes. But they become “professional politicians”. Guess it, a guy is not a professional manager, administrator or even theoretic. He is a professional politician. That probably means he earns quite a pile of money for just bla-bla-blabbing on TV and building up his personal image.

Did anyone really expect the Dem's to be honest???
Just wait and see if hillary gets in, that is when the taxes will go up beyond belief and it will be cradle to the grave for all. And who do you think will be paying for it???
They will not take it out of their pockets.

"Absolute power corrupts absolutely" No matter how honest a person is, something happens once the get elected. It doesn't matter what party they belong to after holding office they only become concerned with personal gain.
