Here they are doing what they've always done. Being secretive about pork spending until it is too late to counter it.
I thought Pelosi PROMISED an open, honest and transparent congress?

Before anyone says, "but, but, but, the Cons do the same thing". Maybe, but they sure never promised it would end and then turn around a few months later and do it anyway.

The Dems know they control the lemmings. They seem to call that business as usual. They got their followers to vote for change, they just didn't tell them what kind.

This might not be the most mature answer, and it sure won't get best answer, but:

Crybaby.

The Democrats aren't perfect. That's you're point, right? Well, almost no one voted their local republican congressman out of office because they thought the Democrats were perfect. They just didn't like them, and their party couldn't help them become more popular.

Crybaby.

And you're thinking that the Republicans never promised to stop corruption then let it go on? Are you serious? That's one of the reasons they lost. when they took over in 1994, they claimed all sorts of new changes and attitudes and policies, but either were never able to deliver, or were unable to keep it going.

Crybaby.

Don't believe me? Why not check out the Contract with America, and then consider how things were going twelve years later.

Like the Rep have never do that LOL were do you think that dem learns the trick Rep have done it for year mostly for thier Conservative freinds. Promise one thing knownig that it was not possible. Honesty is a bird that does not fly in Washington. You chioce who you think you can live with and hope that you are right. That is what it come down toin the end. The vote last year was for the failure of the rep to be any thing but bad.

The sooner the american public stops thinking democrat or republican, the sooner we can get back on track.
Neither party is worth a crap.
It's time to support independent thinkers and give them our financial support.
It won't be easy to break the mold, but it appears to be our only hope.
Take back the country the elephant and the donkey have crapped all over it for too long.

It had to be tried. The current Administration is blind to reality and in our system there's no other party to vote for if you want change; third parties will never capture enough votes to make any impact. The fact that the Democrats proved to be totally gutless in doing what we elected them to do will lead to their own downfall in the 2008 elections. No need to gloat -- it was worth a try.

When one votes for a candidate, many times one doesn't get what they voted for. OK fine, just don't let them sit in their high and mighty chairs and accomplish nothing! That's what elections are for - vote the liars out - each and every time. Don't keep giving them chance after chance to accomplish nothing!

Hmm much like Bush PROMISED to do away with special interests.Sure thats what it looked like when Halliburton got all those huge contracts in Iraq without even having to bid for any of them.Whatever you can find wrong with the dems,i can find something 100 times more severe your party has done, most notably Bush and his cabinet.Straight face lying to the public about Iraq trying to by uranium from Africa and meetings with Al Queda members isn't all that honest either, especially when trillions of dollars and many liuves and limbs have been lost as a result of his ....i guess you republicans would call it little white lies? lmao.

Make no mistake, I didn't think I was getting an honest anything, but in spite of its numerous flaws, the Congress we have now is better than the spineless Bushbot majority we had before.
