There is really no easy way to do it and if you did, it could be very unstable like only one connecting and not the other. Its best to get a router, switch or a hub as they are designed to connect multiple pcs.

Best person to answer your question is Internet cafe. They have multiple computers installed on a single dial up connection. Still for your instant info: I think you need an external dial-up modem, thru which you can connect 2 computers & use both of them simueltaneously. Further if you want to increase the browsing speed you need install a router. (but for 2 computer I dont think internet speed would be affected)

Few way you can achieve this :
1. Using Cross cable. (connect it to your PC & enable the internet connection sharing)
2. Check if your internet provider provide you with more than 1 port router. (sometimes and usually they provide a 4 port router to their customer), If this is the case, just connect the other pc network cable to any empty port.
3. If the computer got Bluetooth or wifi , you can set 1 pc to become a host pc and set the bluetooth pair or wifi access to the host pc. Also enable the internet connection sharing. (assuming you are using WinXP and Vista)
cheers, good luck!!
p.s : still the quickest and cheapest way is to purchase a cheap 4 port router and connect it to your internet provider and to both PC.
