Dragonforce, ((they call themselves 'extreme power metal' but i think they sound more like power rangers...)) THEY PLAY SO DAM FAST!!! the drums and guitar and even bass guitar is sooo fast!!! also, their songs go for like 7, 8, 9 or even 10 minuets each... how can they play so fast for so long???
im thinking maybe they play it slower, but then after use a sound recording studio place thing to make it fater...
???

I have had the pleasure of seeing em live, they are just that fast ! I was amazed and awwed in thier presense !!
Surely the guitar gods looked down and bless em with thier talent !

It takes a lot of practice, dedication, and warm-up exercises. I can play that fast after I am warmed up and the blood is flowing (please don't get me wrong, I am NO where near as good as they are). If you stop playing for a month or so, you can really loose your chops and kill your wrists getting them back to where they were. The speed is not so much the impressive part, it is the neat tricks, dives, slides, and alternate picking that they squeeze in between the millisecond breaks.
and for the people who think they use electronics and recording tricks...grow up and learn something about music. Plus there are thousands of musicians out there faster and more technical so it isn't a super-human quality

If you listen to alot of their stuff the reason they stay so fast is by dropping out, when a hand gets tired, you can hear a part stop for a few seconds, then pick back up while another part is featured, but they are very gifted musicians.

practice. and they practice not only to improve their speed but also their stamina. in the studio it is raw. meaning that it has not been touched by editing yet. they are really that fast. youtube search dragonforce and they have some videos where herman li and the other guitarist have instructional videos on there. watch them and be amazed!!!!

no they dont play slower cuz last year at ozzfest i saw them and it was just as fast. they can play that fast because they have probably been playing their instruments since they could walk and they prcticed for hours and hours everyday. wish i could play my guitar like that! also they have talent. they are just an amazing band!

I personaly HATE Dragonforce. but the way the guitarist play so fast is alternet picking (picking up and down really fast)

They can just play fast, this does not make them good at writing songs.
They can really play that fast but so can a lot of other musicians.

years and years of practice basically. wow, they probably started learning when they were 5 or something, even i can't play that fast!! great band though >:]

yes i know they do speed up some stuff
but the guitar shredding is all them dude
