You can't download hardware, it's part of your computer. Your problem is in the configuration of the hardware you have. Shouldn't be too difficult to fix.
I'm assuming you're using Windows XP here, but this would be similar to what you'd do other versions of Windows.
Just to check your hardware, go to the Control Panel and click on SYSTEM. Once there click on the Hardware tab, then click the button that reads Device Manager. Expand the "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" entry by clicking the plus (+) sign in front of it. Look for any yellow exclamation points or red X's which would indicate a problem with your hardware configuration. If there is a problem you can right click the problematic entry and "uninstall." Restart your computer and Windows will find the hardware and install the software for it. Have your installation disks that came with your computer handy; You may need them if the drivers aren't saved to your hard drive. If you don't have the disks or can't find them, go to the computer manufactures web site and download the drivers. Save them to your computer or some removable media, anywhere where you can point to them should Windows ask for the location of the drivers.
That being said, I kind of doubt it's a hardware problem if it's only iTunes that is giving you a problem. I recently fixed a similar problem on a Windows XP machine by reinstalling QuickTime for Windows. Just go here http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html and download QuickTime for Windows. DO NOT download the version with iTunes included. Just QuickTime 7.1.6 for Windows. Save the installation file to your desktop and double click it, then follow the installation instructions. If I remember correctly you'll have to restart the system before any changes will take effect. Hopefully after the restart all will be good again. Good luck!

You can't "download hardware". You can download drivers for hardware.
"To install mixer devices go to control panel and add hardware" is the solution to your problem.
In the Control Panel click on System > Device Manager and locate your sound card. If you see a "?" or an "X" beside it, update the driver file.
if you're not sure how to do this, have a "techie" do it for you.

No you can't download a hardware, hardware is a touchable stuff.
What you need is a driver, if you had a motherboard cd you can install the driver of your sound card. Uninstall first the driver of your sound card and then install it again.
If you loose it then download it from the net. you must know the name of your sound card so you can know what your looking for on the net.

first check on your laptops key board to see if you have the 2 keys that say FN and END but if you don't , forget about reading this but if you DO, then hold both those keys together and the sound should come back on but if this doesn't work then i don't not know what to do
