For a friend -

Her boyfriend always verbally abuses her when she goofs up and uses bad words like bit ch, s lut, hoe, when she messes up ...

Its a long distance relationship, so when she calls up when he is in a meeting or

when he is with his dad

he ends up ranting these list of words... that now she finds it normal... she cries and then he calls later they talk and murmur words of love and then they make up.

Is this okay for her? BTW, she is a nice indian girl, very sensitive, pretty, earning a hell of a lot of money in fact more than him, she meets all the happening people, very good girl, cooks well, is very homely.. never slept with a soul and always kept herself for one man...

Does she keep taking this boyfriend of hers, verbal abuses?

No, she shouldn't put up with verbal abuse at all. She deserves better. Tell her that you teach people how to treat you by what you are willing to put up with. Tell her to stop now or it will continue to get worse and end up really hurting her. She deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, but the first step is for her to expect that as the right behavior and then to tell him that she won't put up with anything less. It may be hard for her to speak up for herself at first, but eventually she will come to believe in herself and know that she deserves better. Good luck to both of you.

Do you know VAW? Its an acronym of Violence Against Women.. We as women we have the right against any abuses, physically, mentally, spiritually, verbally... Therefore any act of abuses we can file charges, verbal abuses may cause to your friend psychologically...Infact women have the right to do her right against abuses... Why men in general abuses us its because we let them ... But if we have the courage, confidence why we tolerate these abuses? Tell your friend that she can find another guy who is very sincere to her... and will love him.. Your friend must have a self confidence, courage in facing the result of her bf's verbal abuses.. Even if its verbal but Im sure it has a great effect of her psychological aspect... There is no love if you abuse somebody especially your partner bf/gf in general... Is your friend a hero? why she let her bf abused her? infact she have the looks and confident...

in the culture she was raised this would not be seen as abuse...according to an indian friend of mine...
perhaps you need to introduce her to someone...keep her from the make up phone call long enough to make her see a different way...if she doesn't receive that call to make up in the same day she will have more time to think over the fight...
i don't think she has the strength to do it alone though

Since you already know the answer, are you just gathering replies here to show her how many people tell you she should drop the guy like a hot potatoe?

Well, here is one more.

Lose the guy! Have some self respect!

give him one more chance take him to nice counselor or sit with him in some nice hotel where no one is there and do try and speak with him that why is he using that type of bad language, yet if he doesn't give her any respect do go for divorce that's the only way i think so,as its very important to have self respect in a family where she stays

Another NO!!! I wish all women could understand that they don't have to "put up" with anything for a jerk! There are plenty of decent guys out there who know how to treat a lady!

This "boyfriend!?" will only get worse. The girl is lucky---she's seen what he's like and she can wash her hands of him before things go any further.

No way!
Self respect does not allow the proper person to abuse others, and when there is no self respect: run away!

No she shouldn't.
Its like as if her boyfriend takes her for granted-" or it doesn't matter if I swear at her, I'll make up with her afterwards with some sweet loving words........"
