When you scoop from the bowl do you start from inwards too outwards or outwards too inwards or do you go round the bowl !!

Inwards to outwards is the correct way and I do this when dining out. At home I drink it from a mug as I have the instant cuppa kind.

Inwards to outwards, but at the edge of the bowl where its cooler. How strange that i know how i eat soup! I never even thought about it til you asked.

come to think of it i scoop from outwards to inwards with a spoon. i never had paid any attention to how i eat soup untill now.

I always scoop towards me and I just love mixing HP sauce (it has to be HP, I bought a bottle of Daddies a couple of months ago and didn't even open it) in with the soup/broth - which some of my colleagues think is disgusting.
They're always saying my eating habits are disgusting whether its eating frozen peas (savoury ice-pops, the flavour bursts in my mouth as they defrost) ... or any peas with ketchup in ... I can't understand why that's disgusting.
Eating tukey chilli is apparently weird, as is having the (very) occasional full box (large) of Sugar Puffs.
HOWEVER ... drinking so much alcohol that you can't remember the last week (I'm teetotal and therefore, have never been drunk) is so far from disgusting that it's big and clever.

Blimey! you really think about how you eat your soup!! i think i go from the outside of the bowl inwards, but i'm not sure as i don't pay that much attention!

I start from owtward, inward or around the bowl, whichever is coolest. Or if it's too hot, I dip my bread in first.

I just stick it in the middle and pull the spoon straight up... I know it is improper and you are supposed to scoup outwards, but I do not care! Not trying to impress anyone when I eat soup!

well, you're supposed to go outwards and then inwards, which I try to do when I'm supposed to be polite but otherwise I just put the spoon in and eat!!!
