Does anybody else think that the NBA fixed it so that Lebron would get to the Finals? I find it very suspicious that at a time when the NBA needs a face save the league, Dwayne Wade wins the Finals last year with no real help outside a past-his-prime Shaq, and now this year Lebron takes a very bad team to the Finals after beating Detroit, one of the most highly regarded organizations in basketbell (players, coach, front office, passionate fan base).

Take into consideration, too, that teams that tanked, like Boston, Memphis, and Milwaukee, lost the draft lottery to two teams (Seattle and Portland) that still gave a crap at the end of the season. I find it all very suspicious.

Don't get me wrong. I love, love LOVE the NBA, but if the Cavs beat the Spurs for the Championship, I really don't know what to say.

detroit didnt play play well the entire series against the cavs, before lastnights game the average points per victory was 3 points. the cavs could have and should have swept this series.

the first game of the finals will tell how well the cavs will fair, how well thay can guard parker and ginobli will be the deciding factor. also the spurs wont crumble like the pistons. i think the cavs have a chance because of lebron james but they cant afford to drop the first 2 games like they did to detroit, the spurs are too good.

i predict the spurs in 6 games.

Cavs in 6.

The Cavs actually match up VERY well against the Spurs and have beaten them the last 3 times they've played.

I don't think the NBA needs to save anything. I just think a large portion of the fans aren't really that sophisticated. Most people would rather seemingly watch someone dunk on someone than appreciate a well-executed 16-foot pick-n-roll J.

It's still much more watchable than soccer or hockey will ever be.

Is anyone else tired of the whining and crying from the Piston fans. The truth is the Cavs out played the Pistons in all 6 games. It only took six because the Cavs missed and open 3 and an open 10 footer. Should have been a sweep.

How would that be "pre-determined?" The only way it could happen is if the refs made a huge difference or the league suspended players (see Suns-Spurs). How could it be rigged? Did the NBA pay all the Pistons players and coaches to throw the games??? Come on. The Cavs made it because LeBron stepped up.

the cavs are in the beginning stages of being one of the most dominant teams in the league. they are going to be the underdog by far en route to their first championship, which very well could be against the spurs this year. look at the new england patriots, they sucked, but they won and they kept working hard and kept winning and built a dynasty.

also i say Cavs in 6

Maybe, Lebron in the finals will definately boost ratings. Had the Pistons advanced it'd be a low rated series with no star power just like in '05. I know David Stern sure is happy that Lebron's in the finals.

i'm going to easily supply the Cavs their props, they seem to be a competent team and that i predicted them to win a minimum of a million interest this sequence. however the Cavs in basic terms have a million megastar on their team whilst the Pistons have an entire team of stars. Even their bench gamers are great. so as that they extra effective get excitement from that win whilst they might reason its gonna be the final one!! The Detroit Pistons are unstoppable dazzling now. they're gonna win all of it!!

Before suspecting that NBA fixes its matches, why don't you first consider that maybe all these superstars are actually as good as advertised.

Besides, if NBA needed a league savior, it would have been since Jordan retired. So, why didn't they fix so Garnett wins instead of Duncan?
