Dear friends,

due to unavaoidable circumstances one has to leave a company without cancelling the RP and moving to dubai on employment visa.Whether Immigration authorities in Bahrain will create any issues while leaving the country.Whether the person will get blacklisted for future in Bahrain. For sure he/she cannot come back till the period RP is valid. Please provide your feedback and I am sure lots of people may be in a situation like this where employer does not want to cancel RP thinking in order to prevent you from coming back to Bahrain.

No problem, if you are supposed to move for Dubai on a work visa, it is not compulsory to get canceled your existing RP of Bahrain. The immigration staff at the Bahrain airport will verify only the residence status of Bahrain, for the passengers while traveling.

All the best

There is no problem at all. RP's eventually expire, and once they are expired the person cannot come back to Bahrain (note that RP's and return visas have the same expiry date). Sponsors usually require the RP to be cancelled because if the person comes back he/she is still under the sponsorship, but once it is expired, it needs renewal or transfer of RP.

By the way, RP's can be cancelled even if the person has left already, all is needed is a copy of the passport with the RP, and immigration can cancel it in their system, which will show in the airport staff's systems as well.
