Let me explain more...I dont work, have no college education, I have no money of my own (i have to ask for it, then we fight) All my babies are in school and growing fast. I am satisfied with being a mommy but feel as if I was put on this earth to help others. durning my marriage and raising kids, I have lost a sense of myself. I dont know who I am, nor do I know where I am going in this world

When you say your babies are in school and growing fast, I get this sense that you are looking into the future to when they leave home. It's a very unsettling prospect for a mother whose life is built around raising the children.

If you feel as if you actually have a purpose in life, either that feeling is from God or it's just an illusion. If it is from God, then you need to seek the God who created you and gave you that feeling. If it is just an illusion, then it's even more depressing to be enslaved to an illusion. Feelings of a need for purpose either point to God or they are just feelings.

My advice is to seek God.

Personally, I think life is pointless - when I die that will be the end of me. For a long time that bothered me, but when it comes down to it, it's just more freedom and less pressure. I decided that, for me, the purpose of life is just to enjoy it. For example, I count trees for the government, and while I was out today I found a 10' rock that was a piece of cake climb - so I did it. Didn't really get me where I was going, but I enjoyed it and in looking back, it was probably the best part of my day - still makes me smile.

I've had people tell me what the purpose of life was all my life but until I found an answer that I genuinely believed and could get behind, it didn't make any difference. So, I'd recommend pondering it and writing down some thoughts in a notebook. Write down what you where you want to be in ten years, what the ideal life would be, what you admire in others and whatever else comes to mind. Look for patterns in you're answers and see if there is an overriding 'good' in it. Worked for me.

Good luck!

I believe that if you find out why you were put on this earth then that is the end of your time. We all have something to do but we dont know what it is. You need to find out what it is that you are supposed to be doing right now. It sounds like being a great Mum to me.Make sure you make time for yourself and do something you enjoy doing at least once a week. Its really important, or you will feel a little lost. Enjoy your children, they are a very important gift.

Can a person speak of a rainbow without colors? Neither can a person speak of life without meaning. Life is filled with meaning from beginning to end. Everything thing you do changes what it touches. Every word you speak has its affect. Every thought that enters your mind lives for eternity. Consciousness is a part of the equation of reality.

Your soul is the sum product of everything you do, every word you speak, and every thought that enters your mind. So be careful with how your nurture your soul. Seek truth, practice love and relish everything in the world that is beautiful. In doing so you achieve not only meaning in your life but even more, enlightenment.
