We have gotten rid of our distractions, a knew attitude with knew mindset, the raiders might just be back.
The Chiefs are going downhill, with no D, QB, WR, Daunte Hall, and with the losses on the O-Line. The Only Weapons are their HB and their old TE. The Raiders loss both games to them 13-17(4pts.) and 20-9(11pts.) with no offensive power at the time.
The Chargers - We did lose 27-0, and then 21-14 in a game that could've gone either way. Again, No Offensive Power on our part, then, how can we match with the same Defense and a better O-line(because we have added depth) a knew QB (no not Russell, not this year, but someone better than Brooks), more Depth at RB and TE? No more Distractions 4rm the Freak. I think we can beat them atleast one game. with Turner(sucks) in their side.
Broncos - We too lost both games 13-3(10pts),17-13(4pts.), with No Offensive power again(have to mention it). they are talented, but Jerry Porter did score 3 TD against Bailey back in 2004. Remember?

The Raiders realistically 6-8 games this year. Like you said the Chiefs are aging, adn clearlyy are in turmoil, particalarly with the Trent Green situation. The Broncos are on the downslide. The Chargers are in trouble. anytime you fire a coach after a 14-2 season you are going to have turmoil. Maybe not this year, but as soon as Turner makes his mark on the team, the Chargers are in trouble. With the exception of 3 runs, the Raiders actuall held Tomlinson in check better than an other team. Oakland should have beaten the Chargers last year, but for the terrible Illegal Forward pass call. The Raiders had an opportunity to beat the Chiefs in Kansas City last year. And will beat the Chiefs at least one time this year. The Raiders could have beaten Denver last year with some semblance of an Offense, last the games 13-3 and 17-13. Realistically the Raiders could win 2 to 4 Division Games.
The Chargers are going to Win the Division, no doubt. It will take Turner at least a year to screw over that organization. I predict 12-4 or 13-3
The Broncos will probably come in second at 9-7 or 10-6.
The Raiders should come in third, 7-9, or 8-8
The Chiefs will probably drop below the Raiders 4-12 or 5-11.
The Raiders this year will continue rebuilding mode, and next offseason fill any remaining holes, then will be ready to take over the AFC West with the Chargers beginning their decline.

Let's be realistic. The Raiders are definitely finishing 3rd or 4th in their conference. Yes, I do think they have a chance to win more games than the Chiefs because the Chiefs are clearly aging. The Chargers and Broncos just have so much talent that they are out of the Raiders' league. The Raiders STILL can't score enough points against those great defenses to win games. Keep in mind that the Raiders are going to start a rookie QB, and it always takes even the most talented rookie QBs a few games (or seasons) to become good NFL players.
I think that the Raiders are doing everything right, but they are just beginning a long rebuilding process. They need to collect lots of draft picks and completely rebuild their offense. Joey Porter is a bum too; he isn't a winner. Russell looks like a good candidate as QB of the future, so now all the Raiders have to do is replace the entire offense around him!!

It is tough to say how the will do. The will have a last place schld, and KC isn't any good, but the Chargers seem like a good team(but with a new coach can it last?) and the Broncos really aren't very good(but just find enough to win in west, so it looks like there good, till the play a good team)
As far as QB, the still got little this year(at least till the are out the race, and then russell might get a chance like young did last year) But I haven't heard of them getting a running back( they did draft one who is suppose to be better then a 2RD, but I don't know anything about)
If Porter comes back, and wants to play this year(big if) they might be dessent, and they can find a running game( come on a 10 year back-up as a starter)they will put up some points to help the D, but I don't think they will be better then 8-8 which is much better, but anything thing is better then last year.

The Raiders are going to be no less than a wildcard team this year, they may even win the division. With the way the defense is going to play this year now that they have grown together and everyone is back and healthy for this upcoming season. Sapp lost 30 lbs. and Burgess is a sacking machine. and then Asomugha is going to have an mvp caliber year, he may come away with 10+ interceptions this year.
With them picking up Rhodes to go along with Jordan in the backfield and then picking up some veteran O-lineman and a Line coach that does a gap blocking scheme, there will be some big numbers on the ground which will open up the air attack that we haven't seen since Gannon left which coincidently is like the same time Gruden left.(Which at the time he was the youngest coach in the NFL.) doesn't that sound familiar with the new coach Kiffin at 31. They just needed a fresh face with some new ideas to get this team fired up.

It's certainly possible. San Diego no longer has Tomlinson, Merriman won't sign his tender and no team is trading for him, Vincent Jackson is holding out, Sproles isn't a three down back, and a rookie runningback is just that, a rookie. Denver has taken steps backward with the loss of Cutler and Marshall, McDaniels won't put up with anyone questioning his authority, Orton hasn't had success in Chicago and won't in Denver, Tebow isn't ready, Quinn is just as bad as Orton. Kansas City has a rookie running back like San Diego but doesn't have Sproles, Cassell had one good year in New England with a great supporting cast while he has nothing in Kansas City, the Chiefs don't have an o-line. Oakland has Tom Cable as a head coach and he's good at coaching and bringing the team together, Hue Jackson is the Raiders play caller. Campbell who is much more fitted for the system in Oakland is a huge improvement. Even if Bruce Campbell and Veldheer don't start they're going to push the starters. Henderson played really well last year, Gallery is not longer injured, Cornell Green will no longer be amassing penalties in Oakland, Satele could add a few pounds over the offseason which would certainly help him hold down the DT's in his face. With a passing game and improved offensive line the running game will benefit. Bush can be the starter and wear down the defense with his power and speed while McFadden plays to the outside and catches some balls and finally turns on the jets at the end of the game. Schilens is healthy now and should start at WR, Murphy was phenomenal for a fourth rounder, DHB is working on his catching. Zach Miller should be finally be able to add touchdowns to his stat list to go with all the yardage. Shaughnessy, Seymour, Kelly, and Houston can hold down the front line on defense. Scott, McClain, and Wimbley will be able to roam the field. Asomugha and Johnson can continue their top CB play. Huff will continue to improve at safety. Branch and Mitchell will be able to lay out all sorts of players. Though I don't exactly see it, Oakland could win the AFC West. I'm betting on an 8-8 season from the Raiders but two more games is certainly possible.

The Raiders will go 0-6 in the Division, 2-4 at best if they can knock off the Chiefs twice because I believe the Chargers and Broncos will destroy them!

I agree with you as far as Chiefs are concerned..coming from Broncos Nation, which makes the rivalry between Broncos and Chiefs somewhat weak...Chargers will be the team to beat once again I have to admit, but my Broncos will be right there on top to compete with signing of Graham (TE), Bly (corner), Henry (RB), stoakley (WR) if he is completely healthy, saurbrun the punter and ramsey the backup QB. no doubt Broncos have the best Corners in the league with Bailey and Bly....sorry, got carried away with Broncos talk...Raiders, don't think they'll make the playoff, however they should make stride year by year on forward. are you ready for some football!! AFC Football!!

They will step up, and play better in fact I think they will win more games, but they still have a couple seasons to go to get back to the elite level, I think they will have a tough time against the Chargers beating them twice, but with no Marty, they have a better shot of taking at least one game this year. Marty's season was defined at beating the Raiders, I am sure Norm is bitter, but not the way Marty was.

The Raiders will battle the Cheifs for third place in the division... as the Broncos and Chargers will battle for division champs... I give it at least another year and some more players before Raiders are able to compete in the division, but their D will still be very tough to play against.

Russel wont be better until next year or even the year after. Considering they lost their receiver to the pats, just as bad as last year. besides the broncos will take it easily. GO PATS
