you can stay awake for longer if you start drinking coffee and stuff like that, longest i've been up for was about 4 days. things started to get weird! lol
but the military did some experiments to create some super soldiers, they took out the parts of there brain that make them sleep. so they had to use injections to do the effects of what sleep has on out bodies. think they killed themselves after a few months!

This is weird but I'm pretty sure I went without sleep for a week or so at one point.I am a gamer and I spent that week playing a video game in a cybercafé.I never experienced anything too weird.I didn't feel very tired and actually I performed better in my games. But Idk.Maybe all this can be explained 'cause I basically only sat in a chair for those few days.I drank alcohol everyonce in a while during those days and my friends kept coming and going so they knew I was there but I guess we were just misinformed as to how peculiar that was (apparently).

The longest ive stayed awake would have to be 3 days. It was when me and my boyfriend were moving houses and his brother wanted to use our house for a party that weekend so we kind of had to get things done really quickly. I have to admit i drank heaps of V and had a couple of coffees. My best friend also helped me so having company kind of kept me awake as well, but by the night of the party i was really feeling tired. By the time everyone had left from the party (about 5 in the morning) i had to sleep. I think i even ended up sleeping for most of the day. I did notice for the next couple of nights i was really restless and it became really hard to get to sleep, so ive promised myself that il never do that again.

I stayed awake for a tiny bit over a week once on a $100 bet. It was worth it. After the 3rd day, I started getting tons of tunnel vision and dissyness all the time. This continued to increase, adn I started hallucinating occasionally around the fifth day. This also worsened and continued to the last one. IT WAS FUN, THOUGH!
Probably the only reason I was able to do this, though ,was because my insomnia makes me only sleep every other day, anyway, so i was good practice. Heehee.
I'm sane. I promise.

i think the longest i went for straight was about 3.5 days. The longest i did on amphetamines was probably about a week.
Either way sleep is the only way forward! I once heard that sleep deprivation was/is used as a form of torture and that around about the 2 week mark would result in death.
(I have no idea if that is true or not)

the body needs sleep, it's vital. staying up for 57 hours is your business, i just hope you aren't in my area and decide to go get a burger or something that requires driving, and that I or someone I care about is out at the same time you are. by the way....what are you afraid you'll miss if you sleep a few hours? it can't be worth your life or possible prison if your choice happens to kill someone. Honestly - check your priorities.

One week was the longest I stayed up. Actual and factual! Drug induced of course! I was a really punchy and hostile zombie by the end of the week, but I managed not to do anything regrettable! My ex-husband claimed to have stayed up for a month, but he was a compulsive liar so it was just bull. 7 days max for me!(and that was really good quality stuff! Never stayed up that long since! DAMN!)

You get loopy, ask Paula Abdul. I think you can go somewhere around 50 - 72 hours before you really start to have some problems. I can go one night w/o sleep, but pay for it in either of the next 2 nights.
