Verify that the hypotheses of the Mean Value Theorem are satisfied on the given interval and find all values of ‘c’ that satisfy the conclusion of the theorem.

f(x)= X2 + x ; [ - 4, 6 ]

in this equation x have power 2. and then + to x
thanks

f(c) = {f(b) - f(a)}/(b - a)

Here, f(c) = {f(6) - f(-4)}/(6 + 4)
Now, f(6) = 6^2 + 6 = 42
f(-4) = 4^2 - 4 = 12

So, f(c) = (42 - 12)/10 = 3

But, f(c) = c^2 + c

So, c^2 + c = 3
c = [-1 +/-√(1 + 4*1*3)]/2 = (-1 +/-√13)/2 = 1.3028, -2.3028
