This is kind of a specialty item and very few coin dealers know anything about them. The books to look them up are not cheap but not real expensive either, at least the new one that have just come out. Try Frank Robinson, he knows his stuff and has real great prices. Go to www.fsrcoin.com you can email him at frank@frscoin.com. Another person is Bob Reis a well know world coin dealer and another good guy. www.anythinganywhere.com Hope this helps. I have collected Oriental coins and that includes the cash coins, with the square hole for many years. There are a lot of fakes coming into the country, so these two dealers are your best bet for the real thing. They guarantee them to be real.

They are cool. I had a sewing box in wicker and on the top were the chinese coins with Jade beads and tassels. those coins came from China Town in San Francisco before the 1906 Earthquake. I would suggest a China Town in your area. Calling around to a Chinese artifacts or a bead shop.
they may also carry the same thing. I know a man in China who can also help. He is a retired teacher and another is an arts director in China. Email me if you need Hawk Jon's or David's email to pursue this further.
