Baby, you are not even really looking for good music because there are many great R&B artist in the game now. Musiq Soulchild (new cd), Avant, John Legend(new cd) and Beyonce are better than all of those artist you named. Brian McNight (new cd), K Ci Haley (new cd), Ginuwine (new cd), Joe (new cd), Mary J. Blige, and R. Kelly (new cd) all have new or fairly new albums in stores and are still makeing classic music. Some other artist in the R&B game now are Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia (new cd), Rueban Studdard (new cd), Mya (new cd), Monica (new cd), Omarion(new CD) Usher, Keisha Cole, Marques Houston (new cd), Cherish, Jamie Foxx, Rhianna (new cd), Kelly Roland (new album), Neo (new cd), Mario (new cd), Chris Brown, Tank (new cd), Tamia (new cd), Donell Jones, Kelis, Bobby Valentino (new cd), Robin Thicke (new cd), Anthony Hamilton, Dwele, Urban Mystic, Raheem Devaughn, Joss Stone (new cd), Amy Winehouse (new cd), Tyrese, Lyfe Jennings and many more. All of these artist either have a album currently out, have put a album out in the last 3 to 18 months or have a new album coming soon. Great R&B videos and singles don't get a lot of video and radio play anymore because of a few reasons. I want go into the reasons why they don't get played on radio and video stations. If you like REAL r&b music you have to search for your sound. Good Luck and respect the art of soul music. peace and one luv

Ooh; it looks like people might be sleep on Anthony Hamilton. Check out his second cd; I think it's called Coming From Where I'm From. I loved it. And even though Chris Brown is mainstream, I really most of the songs on his first cd (he has another out soon). A couple more are Donell Jones, Ginuwine, and Avant (but I'm not sure about his newest cd). No groups come to mind, though.

I miss '90s R&B, I actually enjoyed listening to the radio in those days, now everything is just similar, and I wish some of those '90s could come back and show some of these new artists how it's supposed to be done, but whenever you do have some of them come back and make a new song, or a video, you just barely hear it or see, if that.

Good r&b left when we left the 90's, But Lyfe Jennings is good, Tamia, Donnell Jones, Musiq, Tank, India Arie, and Jon B are all I can think of right now
A lot of old school r&b singers have or had albums out in recent years but you didn't hear much about it. Tony Thompson from Hi-Five was about to release an album..but of course he died, Shai will be releasing an album, Jon B had one in 2005, Donnell Jones had one in 2006, Tamia had one out last year as well, I love her album.

I agree with you.Today's RnB music really sucks big time.I would suggest you try to somehow dig out the older, classier records. Otherwise try John Legend,Robin Thicke. Some songs by T-Pain are good too.

It disappeared. I miss the 90s and earlier music so much.
Try
Amy Winehouse
Tamia
There are good soul singers still out but they get no shine.
Most of the good R&B music isn't mainstream. It's all the crap music that is mainstream.

Hmmm......I wondered that, too. Today's R&B doesn't even come CLOSE to what we had in the early 90's and earlier. Today's music totally sucks BIG TIME!!
