High maintenance usually means you will be costly. You will spend a lot on clothes, hair, makeup, you expect the best, and on and on. Many men want a woman that is top of the line and look good and can afford someone that looks exceptionally good and takes exceptionally good care of herself. Others want women that will not cost soooo much. It has nothing to do with time or issues, just $. Don't settle for less, go for the guys that can afford to spend the $. The advice I was given is don't play with the poor ones when you can play with the rich ones. It all works out the same, you just live a whole lot better.

well being a high maintenance guy it's like this: there are more steps to pleasing you than others. Your demands are more and/or greater; it takes a lot more to come to a resolution with you; you may look at life from 1 - 10 instead of just the humility of waking up and enjoying the day. Must I go on? Take it from me, it is easier and more rewarding to drop the "hi maintenance" title and pick up a humility title instead.

It means you require money to be spent on you. Money Money Money. Thats the problem with many women in the USA. They cost more than their worth. Hence High Maintenance. Like an Airplane, Yacht, Big home, Huge flower gardens.

To be honest, it means you ask too much from him. Probably too much favors like, wait for you outside because you're not done preparing for a date or wanting to celebrate something when it really is not that important for him, asking for gifts in every single occasion and being a bit bossy by always being the one to have a say on where to go. He does a lot of things for you just so you wouldn't get angry at him.

"High maintenance" is term used to describe women who are emotionally or materially "needy." They require an excessive amount of attention or effort to maintain, and expect to be treated like a "princess" and can be demanding. The term is used mostly in the context of a relationship, when the female expects her partner to "worship" her and spoil her.

If your car is high maintenance, you need to get another car or take it back.

It means every time you turn around you need to put more money into fixing it back up. It keeps breaking down every time you turn around.

That is high maintenance.

Basically it means you like the better things in life.
It can also mean you're snobbish and think you're better than everyone else.
High maintanence girls are the ones that are obsessed with their looks and they're constantly fixing their make up of checking themselves out in the mirror.
Some guys like it and some guys don't.

i'm American and use the expression often. extreme upkeep ability that the female has to have way extra suitable than the hardship-loose to be happy or mushy in a primary situation. Low upkeep is only the alternative, meaning that the female could be mushy with only approximately something.

You want all the expensive things like brand names. Best restaurants, expensive gifts / jewelery. I know a few people that won't go to Kmart,Target, because they don't want to be seen in there. They will not buy the supermarket brand because it isn't good enough.
