if big ben was still a piston, is there a chance that they would have won against the Cavs?

Wallace was obviously the best fit for Detroit at center. Chris Webber, who's a natural power forward, just couldn't find his place with the Pistons. Besides, he's lost his hops and his skills have deteriorated quite obviously. However, we can't really tell if the Pistons would've gone all the way with Big Ben. Wallace asked to be traded and it was clear that his heart was no longer with the team even while still playing for Detroit in '06. He could've stuck it out with the team but he might not have played as well as he should so you can never tell.

Yep. Big Ben's presence would have made it more difficult for LeBron to score 25 straight points on the Pistons towards the end Game 5. His defensive specialty is what made the Detroit team special during their title run. Rasheed just isn't the same defensive player without Big Ben helping him occupy the middle. There would have been a game 7 if B. Wallace was still a Piston.

Ben Wallace is one of the best defensive players in the league. Chris Webber couldn't guard anyone in an old age home. Wallace would have given them a shot blocker, someone who can steal the ball from time to time, and of course REBOUND. Webber? He just fills a spot. It's like the Pistons are playing 4 on 5 when he is out there. So yes, he would have made a difference.

Ben Wallace was a good fit for the pistons but all he did was defend and rebound he was a handicap on offense something the pistons really need

a big no. even with ben's presence they couldn't stop a player like lebron, aside from the fact that ben is a liability in offense. no one on the pistons side was a consistent scorer in their series against the cavs, with ben there its like pistons are playing only 4 players on the offensive side.

Ben Wallace wasn't traded. I still don't think they would have won it if they had him. He doesn't guard small forwards and Lebron is the one who killed the Pistons.

i think they would have put up a better fight and maybe pulled it off, but at the end of the day trading wallace was something they had to do. hes not as productive as he use to be, and was getting out of his place by asking to be involved more in the offense and asking for more money. they had a good formula and he was messing with it. they should have tried to replace with someone not named chris webber though

first off, big ben wasnt traded, he left as a free agent.

but if he stayed would they have gone all the way?no. did you see how he played in saunders system last year? it was awful. maybe if brown or even carlisle was still the coach thered be a chance that detroit wouldve made the finals.
