What about a human outsprint a cheetah in running marathon? How about getting back time that occurred in the past?

no kidding. come on now.

it goes like this.

you wanna go faster than a cheetah, USE YOUR MIND and build a car. it can go faster than a cheetah.

you don't want a car and still go faster than a cheetah? think, use your mind!!! and create prosthetics that will use reflective kinetics to power your stride to out run the cheetah.

we, as a whole, escpecially in the science world are still looking for way to understand the "entrance" into the 5th deminsion. (the ability to choose our own time line, past present or future)

mind! it means TO THINK. anything it possible.

Poem by Edgar Guest
Somebody said it couldnt be done
But he, with a chuckle replied
That maybe it couldnt
But he would be one
who wouldnt say so till he TRIED
So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin
On his face if he worried he hid it
He started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldnt be done
And he DID IT.
Your question has depth, but your examples lack insight to the bigger picture.
Nothing is impossible if one is prepared to try hard enough.
Impossible is a greater reality for those who seek to find unreasonable argument not doing more to overcome an obstacle in life.
Your Q. A human can outsprint a cheeta in a marathon, but not over a short distance.
Time that occured in the past is able to be recovered by way of memory, and repaired by way of facing the impossible which becomes possible.
Is it possible that you can climb to impossible heights.....

What if the cheetah was a stuffed cheetah and couldn't run? You would have to put you mind to finding someone who owned a stuffed cheetah who would let you borrow it, right?

What about remembering the mistakes you made in the past and figuing a way to not make the same mistake. In the end, it's not about counting every single second, but rather an average of time spent, hence if you learned what not to do early enough, it may just balance out to the positive.

No, it is not true. Put your mind to trying to fly using only your naked body and jumping off of a 3 foot high platform. Then try it. Ok, let's go with a 3 inch high platform just to be safe in case you really need to see if you can't do it no matter how hard you put your mind to it.

A human might be able to complete a marathon before a sick cheetah but a human can't out sprint a cheetah with a particularly nasty flu. It'd have to be near death. Cheetahs use a ton of energy to sprint and can only do so for relatively short distances. They can still sprint way faster and way farther than humans. It's simply a matter of biology. They are built for speed. We aren't. A long sustained cheetah jog is faster than a human jog. Our bodies just don't work like theirs.

Going back in time is theoretically possible but not possible in practice. Perhaps, if you are astoundingly smart enough, you might be able to study the physics of it enough to make the theory workable and then develop the math and technology to make it possible but much luck to ya if you plan on trying. You're gonna need it.

First of all; cheetahs are only good for short bursts of speed (they are "sprinters" not Marathon runners), a human would out run them in a marathon (unless the human became the cheetah's dinner early on in the race).

As for your question, it depends on how much control "you" have over your mind. For most humans, their mind is their worst enemy, for others its a tool to get things done.

In theory 'folding time' and beating the cheetah is not impossible, but I wouldn't want to know anyone who entertained such silliness. But, getting back past time? Some people have been known to do this with reality shifts. My own experience has been one of the opposite - folding reality into a differenct shape/experience by stepping outside of time. Time is a malleable non- 'thing.'

nothing is impossible. Simply because a human mind cannot come up with anything that does not already exist. Think about how the thought process works - its physical right? Think about how microorganisms work.. Think about all the impossible things humans dreamed of thousands of years ago that came true.. even levitation is possible through chi. (but many many are still too close minded and consider it magic or tricks)

Well, what we've got (brain) is still something unknown for human. The things that seem to be impossible to us; will happen a day. Just'd wonder abt brain if u know what i know. It's the most powerful thing we've got from God for certain.
& we do move to future & past...but not with our bodies; with our souls, when u r asleep, u see new places which u haven't ever seen or u got to the places which u will see them in future or u even see stuffs from ur past; and this is real. maybe we can control this a day....

While you are bound by laws that many others have pointed out, you have to realize what your limits are. I mean that in a positive way. There's a difference between shooting for something that no one has done, and shooting for something that only a few people have done. For instance, to be a multimillionaire you could ask your poor friends and they will tell you that its impossible, but you have to ask yourself, has anyone else done it? Are they really different than me? I believe you can achieve everything you need to be happy without turning back time or defying the laws of physics. I am of course speaking about getting what you want in life, I am not saying you couldn't do what no one has done but if someone else has done it, you know its possible for you, you know in that instance you are not limited by laws of physics.

It's just a figure of speech. No, there are things that are indeed not realistic and should not even be attempted. It's also unrealistic to believe that you can attain anything if you want it bad enough. People like to say that as a confidence booster, but all things are NOT possible regardless of the people who emphatically tell you they are, like the poster above. That would be like telling someone without their legs to grow new ones, or a blind person to gain back their sight. Just wish hard enough and it will happen. No way! You need to be realistic with your goals and desires.
