well that's set x as the opening price on monday

if monday rise .09 cent..... and tuesday rose .12 cent

which mean x +.09+.12= 1.47

Take away -.09 and -.12 ......you would get x by itself....and x is equal to 1.26

the opening price on monday is $1.26

HOPE THIS HELP
