The new part of the nail is normal but the stained part is coca cola colored and the discoloration is due to hair dye, and/ or poor quality nail polish which left the nail permanently discolored and it clashes w/ & therefore makes it difficult to wear certain colors of varnish like transparent pinks etc...So is there any remedy or treatment for this ?

Soak your nails in a denture cleaning tablet dissolved in water.

Swipe your nails w/ a cotton ball saturated w/ hydrogen peroxide. Wait 1-2 minutes before rinsing.

Apply nail whitener strips to your nails. Follow package directions.

Avoid nail polish until the discoloration grows out. File & buff your nails instead. Here's how: http://www.ehow.com/how_2564_give-yourself-facial.html

Apply nail oil, Vaseline or vitamin E to your nails each night to prevent peeling. Plain Chapstick works too & can be used to protect your nails from water.

Honey, not to scare you but see a doctor. My mom had a spot on her nail... we did not think it was anything but when a doctor saw her, she was apalled. It turned out my mom had a cancer. She ended up losing her finger, but is alright now.
