I protect my soldier as my soldier protects me.
US has issues on our own soil that is boiling to a higher degree now than it has 20 years ago. We do have our own little wars going on with durgs, violence, gangs and abuse etc. Even terrism when it comes to battling other cultural/race etc.

I believe it is not only possible, but probable. America is a nation just like any other. Every nation has it's time of instability, whether it be because of outside forces or from something within
War is something that I think happens everywhere and it can't ever be totally prevented. Not to say that most of the sensless wars, acts of terror, etc., can't be averted. It's just that the idea that war can be prevented altogether, even in America, is a bit of a stretch to me. Also, war is sometimes just a natural progression of things.
Contrary to what many people may think, war is not always without purpose. It's how nations are built and how they fall. How they're molded and shaped.
I'm not an advocate of war, I just think that sometimes, it does happen for justifiable reasons. Though, just as with anything else, each war has its pros and cons.
If a war started here in America, the reasons for it would influence my decisions to stay or leave. Most likely though, I would stay. Not only would I stay, I'd probably enlist and join the fight. I couldn't imagine being in the middle of a war on my native soil and not fighting to save it/my family/myself/etc. Not only that, but despite all the problems that America has, I'm not sure there's any other place I'd rather live.
Americans enjoy many freedoms that others never get to experience. For that freedom alone, and the right to keep it, I'd stay and fight.

Well, the US has a large and powerful army as well as a strong economy, and a well educated populus. Those other countries had none of those things. I suppose, that over time, our country could be weakened to the point that something like what is happening in Iraq could happen. I wouldn't worry about it right now though. If it did happen, I would imagine that a lot of people would move to Canada (it's not like they don't have any room for anyone).

Leave to where? USA is the best country in the world, we know our own country, most of speak the same language...this is the only place we are safe. I say, having the war in Irac is better then having one here! Have you seen the documentaries of how Muslims train their children to HATE Americana's? They think killing everyone who isnt a Muslim is their destiny!

It's possible, more possible than most Americans think. Luckily, we've avoided it so far. I think I would leave, either the country altogether or just to whichever corner of the country that doesn't have any fighting.

It is possible, now more than ever. But America is much more diverse, and resilant.
I would stay and hope for the best.

My old history teacher, who is a very serious guy, said that if a missile is detected heading our way, we send a missile to everyone or some bullspit like that. Since we don't know who did it, better just to bomb everyone. Either that, if we did know we bomb them back, count our minutes, and we both get nuked.
