The New York Media is out to sell newspapers. With so many different papers around it is not an easy thing to do. They seem to favor the team that is winning, since fans already want to read about them, and try to arouse interest in the team that is not doing well by any means they can. The treatment Alex Rodriguez has received in New York has been a total disgrace. They have taken a future Hall of Famer and will force him to leave at the end of the year. The next time we see him he will be destroying the terrible Yankee pitching staff on the way to the World Series.Yes this year the coverage is all positive for the Mets and negative towards theYankees.

I'm not sure the media is a threat to either. They might treat Yankees better at times, but they tend to jump on the yankees when they have problems(both on and off the field) I would say that they watch the yankees more then the mets (but not that much).

You hit on a major problem in sports today. I dont think the media should be threatning anyone...who the heck do they think they are threatning players anyway? To threat the Yankees wouldn't actually be a bad thing though.......tongue in cheek.....USE SPELL CHECK PLEASE!!!!!!
PS You capitilized Yankees...but not the mets? mmmmmmmm....YOU THREATENING THEM DIFFERENTLY?

They always have.
The Mets have always been a second class citizens in the press and in New York.
Do not think that will ever change

yup. totally. Of course, when you admit you took steroids and then blame the rest of baseball for your problems, you kind of exacerbate the problem. Oh yeah, if you are a married Yankee who makes $25 mil each year, people WILL notice you going into strip clubs with blond chicks who are not your wife.
I wish we had your pitching staff this year.
