TG is right. 42 is the Answer to the Ultimate Question about Life, the Universe, and Everything.
The problem is few know the question. The question is "What is 6 times 9?".
Now, since 6 times 9 does not equal 42, there is a problem. We just can't be sure if the problem is in the way the Universe functions, or if random acts of idiocy cause the 2 parts of the equation to be in direct contradiction to each other.
Personally, I think it's because the Universe doesn't make sense.

the technical answer is Life is a condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects, i.e. non-life, and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally. In physical terms, life is an organism that feeds on negative entropy.
