yes, i used to be a spend thrift..until about 1985..then i married a gal that had more money then me and taught me how to really save money...now i just retired last year and we can live on my pension from Ford and also I get Social security.
It is nice to be able to pay your bills on time and have a nest egg to fall back on in your old age..
Yes, it was fun to spend..but when I got to be 40 years old with no saving I found out that regular saving of your hard earned money gives you peace of mind...we have no house payments (paid for since 1992) no car payments...but the cost of utilities, taxes, and insurance still takes a bite out of our income...but saving money does not seem like fun until you get old and have to live off your Social security and maybe a pension that is shaky..so you already know the answer to your question...

Spending and Saving is a method that develop with man's maturity. Neither one can tell you how much to spend nor can tell how much to save. Neither one can tell you how to spend or how to save. As long as all money is yours, you are free in your decision. The best strategy you can adopt, I believe, is to see your target, zoom at it, evaluate the current situation and have a feasibility study. You can draw the base line towards spendings and savings. This method will help you in greater decision-making.

I like doing both to be honest, Amanda. I think I tend to spend more than save though.
