How about a Cheetah -- the fastest animal on land?
Or a Peregrine Falcon -- the fastest overall?
Spiders -- they're creepy & small.
Ants -- they're also creepy, small, and work together.

Tonight I just heard about an animal called a sand cat. I know cats, but didn't realize there were little critters living in the desert that resembled my furry friends. So, it's a little different. Camouflage, big ears for hearing, nocturnal...maybe something there.

I also have a soft spot for Komodo Dragons for some reason, though they aren't very nice and are both carnivores and cannibals if the need arises. They are relentless and it's what's on their teeth that kills you - a bite and they follow, waiting. Maybe not the skills you're looking for...

Black footed ferret - at one point thought extinct. Live in "towns" and eat prarie dogs, animals bigger than they are. Native to North America.

How about a psychic cat that turns purple and spits out hairballs every time someone tells a lie? Just a thought. Total is adorable by the way. Pax - C

There is the capybara of Amazonas (the Amazon watershed) that is the largest rodent. About the size of a hog, I think. Natives hunt it for the pot.
