particuarlly in Tortola, St. Thomas, and San Juan.....im leaving for a cruise there tomorrow, and im just curious if drugs are legal there

Puerto Rico and the USVI follow the US Laws, BVI is British and follows there laws...just as anywhere else....be careful and have fun.

If it's illegal in the states it's illegal in St Thomas and San Juan. Tortola is a British Virgin Island and whatever it is you're thinking about is probably illegal there, too.
Once your boat enters the waters of the country/territory you are visiting you are under the juristiction of that country's government. Smuggling drugs on cruise ships is becoming more common so Customs and DEA are performing more and more on board inspections. If you are found to be in possession of any illegal substance or if it's found in your cabin on a boat - no matter how small the quantity - you will be arrested. If you're on a cruise ship don't expect the captain to delay departure while you sit in the local jail waiting to be bailed out. You have to ask yourself if it's worth the risk to ruin your vacation and get stuck in a foreign land. Bon Voyage'

Special K hits the high spots......drug snififing dogs checking baggage and cabins; undercover cops selling to tourists to make easy arrests; a terrible time for a stateside tourist in the local jails......
don't do it.
You will NOT have a good time if you're caught.......

DO NOT even think of it. Be satisfied with a cocktail, it's the last legal drug the cruise will be pushing :-) lol. The risks are really not worth it. Please enjoy your hard earned vacation and liberty / freedom. You do not need the problems.
