and she had a serious roach investation problem. Well, now that it is summer we have been spending alot of time in the back yard, and we just put some FLOURESCENT bug lights in these sockets out there. We have know Idea the last time those light sockets were used, the bulbs that were in there were dead. So we put the light in a flipped the switch, they took a few seconds to come on, and then when they did, they started flickering. What do you think the problem is. Is it that they havent been used in such a long time. I s there a short in the wires that could cause an electrical fire if we use them..some suggestions or insight would be helpful.

why don't you just put boric acid down around the floor to kill the roaches. and don't worry about all that other stuff.good luck

It could be a bad ballast transformer in the fixture, or one that is going bad. good luck

try a reg bulb and see what they do..if they flicker also call a elec
