Is Palestine truly the home of the Eastern-European Jews? (keep in mind that research shows that these people are not related to the Jews who lived in Palestine before 1948). Should the Palestinians accept the situation and be absorbed by neighboring Arab countries? Should Europe have aided the Jews in their immigration into Palestine? Should the USA be aiding either side?
I'd love to hear BOTH sides of the argument, because i come from a Palestinian, Lebanese, and Iraqi family. I am an american however :).

and don't be defensive. it's a question.
Research has also proven that the Muslim population's genetics overlaps with that of the jewish population. This occured because of the conversion in the seventh century AD after the islamic conquest. (see High-resolution Y chromosome haplotypes of Israeli and Palestinian Arabs reveal geographic substructure and substantial overlap with haplotypes of Jews".)

I don't think its very healthy for them to debate whose land is where. Technically the US did basically steal the land from Native Americans. If they argue about land thing this will not end anytime soon. I may be wrong and only thing that might put an end to this might be to some how get everybody to draw new borders.
And I don't like our military involvement(arms aid to Israel). Taking side with Jews, which is what we're doing turn us into 'enemy' for many people in the Middle East and not peace negotiator which we need to be.
I hope Europe and the US can have more hands off approach. By only sending humanitarian aids. There's no doubt Western countries involvement in this added to this whole 'clash of culture' between Western world and Arabs/Muslim culture.
Israel also need to show little more restrain. They can be kind of too aggressive at times as 2006 summer war have shown. Which led to Omar resigning. I think. Or did he? I don't know. But, yes there are terrorists like Hamas and Hezbollah, but I think Israel can show little more restrain to help things cool down. Omar was off the mark with that 2006 summer war.
Palestine and Israel's enemies also must recognize that they can't 'wipe' Israel off map. Israel have backing of the US in this.

first, I am of eastern European Jewish descent and I have relatives who have been living in Israel for a lot longer than since 1948.
Second of all, what research is htis, because it is flawed for other reasons.
The Eastern Eurpean Jews were not in Europe unti lafter what is known as the second Diaspora, which was the descruction of the second temple and the end of the Jewish revolt against the Romans (revolt ended in 72 A.D. with the fall of Masada).
There were no Jews (or very few who traveled with Roman Army) in Eastern Europe beforethis. Afterward, when they were driven out of Palestine, the spread with time throughout Europe. Eastern European Jews ar erelated to all the other Jews.
Second, what right do the vast majority of Palestinians have to the land? The VAST majority of Palestinians were borm AFTER 1948, after their parents left israel.
Third, they had their own land, until the neighboring countries decided to invade. At that point they lost and lost land in the process - as the attacked, Israel has every right to the lands it captured through conquest. Think about it - if the Arabs had not attacked, the West Bank and Gazatrip would be free today.
Lastly, the land was never theirs, they have never in the history of the land controled it. They may have lived their and owned some of the land, but what is now Israel and what was once called Palestine has NOT been an independant land or nation since the Jews last ruled their - First the Romans conquered it, then the Arabs conquered it (not the palestinians, the Arabs during the crusades), the the Europeans, then the Ottoman Empire conquered it and controlled it until they lost it to the British.
also, keep in mind why the Palestinians left. The Israelis did NOT force them to leave - they left for two reasons 1) they feared reprisal for times that they massacred jews and 2) the arab countries neighboring Israel to ld them to leave.
there are MANY palestininas living in Israel today who are citizens and have all the right that a Jew does. Israel was not responsible for the palestinians becoming refugees.

This will go on until the Palestinians get their land back.
Israel is the most successful terrorist state ever and has achieved its position only with the help of the USA.
You are quite right that Zionism is a European idea.
The existence of the State of Israel is a cancer eating into the lives of people in the Middle East.
The only solution is for the Palestinians to be given equal rights over their ancestral land and live in one democratic state with the jews but the Zionists will never agree to this.

All Iraelis at the instant are not Jews . no longer even each and each of an identical "type" of Jew . no longer all Palatinians are Muslims . maximum Palastinian Muslims are fundamentalist or a minimum of hate Israel and the US with a fervor . Christians ( Catholics ) drew from an identical populations to benefit converts through fact the Muslims did . however the Catholic additionally welcomed Jews . Christians refers to Catholics and each and all of the off shoots of it alongside with Luthernism . the two the Jews and the Muslims deny that Christ became the Messiah . Jews have self belief the Messiah has no longer yet come . The Muslims say Muhammed ( the guy no longer the Teddy undergo ) became the Messiah . All 3 have self belief Abraham ( Ibraham) became a large prophet .

After years of watching the fighting and reading the claims by both sides I have become convinced the only solution would be to make everyone leave israel/palestine and only let them back one by one after a compulsory psychiatric exam to cull out the looonies fanatics paranoids etc
and then have compulsory secular education for everyone with everyone learning the basics of islam judaism and christianity and compulsory hebrew english and arabic
and then maybe the lion will lie down with the lamb?
maybe?

This problem started thousands of years ago when both sides claim that God told them both, "This Land is Yours". Either God is stupid or both sides didn't have enough knowledge to understand what they witnessed. But we are not supposed to talk about that. There is no political solution. The real problem was with these ancient people's concept of God, but again we are not supposed to talk about that. War or a political fix will not solve this problem, it never has.

Who cares?
People who are stupid enough to keep fighting what are essentially tribal wars while the world is running out of clean water, clean air and facing global climate changes that may destroy the earth are just stupid.
People who keep fighting old tribal wars basically give their children a world in which bombs and guns are their future. People who keep fighting old tribal wars don't really care about their children.
Countries are just a line drawn on maps by powerful people. There are NO COUNTRIES--they are just lines drawn on a picture.
As far as any religions, is there any so-called God of ANY religion who believes people should continue to destroy the earth and kill each other because somebody drew a bunch of lines and designated them as countries?
So many people who understand what is going on in this world have gone far beyond some stupid tribal territorial rants about what lands belong to what tribe.
I don't give a **** what God you believe in or what tribe you belong to. I understand one thing: the earth is rapidly running out of clean water, clean air and space to accomodate all the people.
You can separate people into Palestinians and Israelis all you want. I frankly think anyone who believes old tribal issues are still important on this earth just wants to stick to his/her tribe and has no understanding of the real issues facing all living beings on this earth.
Yes, after World War II and Hitler's Nazis, the winners of that particular war drew some lines on a map and called it Israel. So what? If you never wanted any lines drawn, which is my position, there would be NO COUNTRIES, including no Palestine (which isn't a country and never has been a country).
IDIOCY IS CALLING ANY COUNTRY A COUNTRY. WHAT IS A COUNTRY? Any bunch of idiots could mark off a plot of land and call it a country.
Any reasonable person doesn't even believe in so-called country boundaries. What reasonable person believes some lines on a map must somehow create and mark the thoughts and dreams in a person's heart and soul?
MAKE A DIFFERENCE--do something to make the planet's air, water or food better for everyone. And if you are a person who believes in a God created by your tribe a thousand years ago, how come your God hasn't triumphed by now? If all these Gods are so powerful and so great, why doesn't the world believe in just one of these Gods?
Gods were developed by many, many tribes--Muslims, American Indians, Jews, Christians--all at the same time.
This is what Gods are: when the people go to their leaders and say "Oh, great leader, why did the storm come and kill most of our people? Oh, great leader, we are so sad we cannot continue."
And the leader says: "Oh, I will consult the God. The God is guiding me and will help us get out of this. Our God promises better things."
Nawwwww--the God is the heart and mind of each person. It is only people who want the power of the leader position who keep proclaiming there is one God who is guiding the leader and there is a God who will provide some sort of paradise EVEN if the current leader is providing a **** existence to his tribe.
There are no Gods. But most humans are too afraid to admit they might actually have to rely upon themselves to solve their problems--believing in a God is the coward's way out.
