Don't forget your public library. Browse the investment books there. Stock research and investment is a lifelong process. You cannot get too much knowledge.

Don't forget the crazy man, Jim Cramer. Good source for ideas, but don't buy the stocks he recommends right away. They usually pop up as soon as he mentions them, and then retrace.

Good Luck to you.

Hi,

This question depends on what you mean play the stocks. It sounds like you are interested in day trading. If that is the case, you should look at an area of study called "Technical Analysis" or "Technical Trading".

If you are interested in longer term investing, you should review: Morningstar.com, Fool.com, SeekingAlpha.com, Investopedia.com, as well as reading the numerous amount of blogs out there.

As well, I recommend reading the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times frequently. You could also include such magazines as: BusinessWeek, Forbes, Fortune, Harvard Business Review and The Economist.

This is quite a lengthly list, but is very important to learning about investing and all the topics it entails.

Hope this helps.

I have learned a lot about investing from different web sites. www.financial-realities101.com is written for people that want to learn how to invest their money and how the stock market works all around. If you visit that site and study the information, you will be on your way to becoming a great investor.

I don't think you should "play" the stocks. However, the best site in my opinion for learning about stocks is Motley Fool.
