A bounty hunter is an individual who hunts for people who've failed to show up in court after being charged, and freed on bail. Most often the Bounty Hunter is hired by a Bail Bond agent who, for a fee, paid the court to free the accused. When the accused leaves town or fails to show up in court, the Agent or Bondsman can lose a substantial amount of money. He Hires a bounty hunter to track down and apprehend the accused person and bring this person to court.

A bounty hunter is someone who has the job of finding people that either have skipped out on their court case after having made bail, or have not payed fines and fee's regarding law violations. They are vigilantes and can use necessary force. They are usually hired by a bail bondsman who is owed money by that person because they didn't appear in court on the set date.

bounty hunter an old term used in the 1800's.
modern day - bail enforcement agent
this agent uses his experience to trace individuals who have jumped bond and on the run.we are bound by the laws in the states we operate in.we like police officers are required to have an arrest warrant prior to apprehending the suspect.
not all arrests make money.it's a living.most states do not allow independent bail enforcement agents hired to work for a company.
the soliciting bail agent is usually the bail enforcement agent as required in most states.this industry is regulated by the state department of insurance.we are considered officers of the court and are duty bound to uphold the laws of the court and state.
the days of the bounty hunter image is gone except in the minds of DOG.......a new professional with defensive , offensive tactical trainning is moving to the forefront of the industry.

Its like a independent police officer, but they don't carry any lethal weapons. A bounty hunter is usually hired by a bail bonds company to capture fugitives that skip out on a court date after they bail them out of jail.
