If I was present at the Creation, I would have asked my Creator to never allow one person one this planet to lose their childhood wonder and ability to believe. Can you imagine what a lovely world we would live in if everyday we found splendor in the simple things in life? Then if we had that beautiful ability to just believe...in whatever...our lives would be much more full and content.

I think it would have gone something like this:
me: Hey, God? Ya know, I think that for Your sake...
God: Andrea, how many times do I have to tell you not to say that?!!!
me: Hey! I didn't say 'for God's sake'; I was addressing you directly. I simply said 'for YOUR sake'.
God: Oh, yes. Well then. You were saying...?
me: I was saying that I think for YOUR sake you maybe should skip over making any more folks in Your image. They look like trouble.
God: Are you calling Me trouble?
me: No... just saying that for all their beauty and potential, they look like they have the capacity to mess things up. I look just like them, and already I have it in for those squiggly things... what did you call them? oh yeah... snakes. Yuck.
God: Well, they have to have the potential to make mistakes. How else can I know that they are making a conscious choice if I don't give them the ability to mess up?
me: Good point. Just remember that when they are teenagers. They look like the sort to have a big party and not clean up after themselves. They're gonna wreck this place, You know.
