A Honda Civic will get you excellent mileage, reliability, and sufficient performance. I have a '94 Civic and it gets 40 mpg- if you don't mind a 1992-95 Civic model, I think those years were the best because they're not too big or too small, there were a lot of them made, and they are very reliable and inexpensive to run.
Try to stay away from Honda Hybrids because if you keep the car for more than 100,000 miles, you will have to replace the large battery pack, which along with the additional cost of the hybrid itself, actually costs you more than what you would save in gas by owning the hybrid.

My brother got a like new 5 year old Lexus for $23,500.00 and even the engine was clean. Go for the low demand like new cars.

I drive a chevy cavilier.Great car 33 MPG. with the auto trans.Lots of them on the road and built chevy tough.

i would recommend the new 07 camry or even a used one. it gets good gas mileage and high resale value. you can also consider honda accord. both cars are really reliable.

traveling? then dont get a big car, SUV or truck. it wastes gas. get a feul efficient car, a midsize sedan.

i'm a each and every day kinda Indian, like a Toyota. i'm kinda common, yet I continuously come via, i'm good and that i'm low maintenance. the two that, or i'm like a Volvo, kinda boxy, yet risk-free and good, with out alot of flash.
