So, in the never ending jealousy between brothers, my bro bought a 1994 integra, he was trying to out do me in my 85 stang.

He paid 6500 dollars, the car is in good shape on the outside, it has around 75000 miles, a cloth interior and a cd player. The transmission bumps when it shifts. I keep telling him he got ripped off but he says I'm just jealous. Tell me, did he get his pants taken?

I did look at kbb, it said less than 5 grand, but his reasoning was it was "Rare" and was in hot demand because it got good mileage.

Ok, his 1.8 will beat a 5.0 (to 60 in 6.1 seconds). Maybe I should sell the mustang and get a pig cuz' when that happens they'll fly. Also, the mustang is an efi, and runs absolutely perfectly, i'm sorry you all felt inclined to share your opinions. Also, I realize that an integra will probably last longer than an old cow of a ford, but honestly. As a teen I put on 8000 miles a year and won't have this car for more than 4 years.

Yea he got ripped off, for that much money he could have gotten a newer accord/camry, have had a smoother/more comfortable car, and have gotten the same gas mileage with faster acceleration.

Um, all I did was removed my air filter and placed my cold air intake in its place. There were computer sensors on my hose, but sense I didn't mess with the actual hose (only the filter compartment at the end of the hose leaving the hose in tact) everything worked out just right. I even felt the power (though it was only about 15 to 40 added to my horse power). When I did this, I also modified my exhaust.

Okay so I know Im a girl but I wouldn't take a mustang if you gave it to me. He didn't necessarily get taken for a ride, it's an Acura and they last forever. Now about the Ford, well, that's another story.
Good luck racing the Acura, I put my money on the Integra. Sorry!

Is it the GSR or the LS? If it is the GSR it is definatley worth about $5,000 but if its the LS HE GOT RIPPED!!!! You can get the LS for around $2,500 all day long. And if its an automatic then its garbage either way, as these cars either one get their power from higher RPM's. Look at the motor if its a plain black top with no writing its a LS if it says DOHC VTEC then it's the GSR. And yes the GSR will beat an 85 Rustang

Nah. It sounds like his differentials are off. A nice transmission flush can take care of that for a bit. But, bottom line, he's got you dominated now. He'll also be laughing at you at the pumps and in the bank account.

Are you looking for someone to tell you how cool you are in your 85 stang? Not happenin'. His car will turn out to be far more reliable in the long run.
