I wish she would cause she died when I was 13 and she was my best friend.. I know there were times I just had wished she would have shut up when she was alive but I regret them now cause I wish more then anything she could see all my dreams came true and all she wanted for me happened. If I could have her back for just one day she could talk all she wanted.. You gotta love grandma's they love you unconditally. You do love yours I am sure or you would have told her to shut up along time ago. Good luck hun......

I am 56, divorced when the kids were 6 and 8, raised them . Now I am a recently retired school teacher and grandma age and I am very lonely. I think we talk a lot because we think our family cares and we forget that your lives are so much younger and funner, but one day you too will be grandma age and in the old days, grandma aged people were looked up to and valued and looked to for love and wisdom as I did my grandmothers. So it is loneliness and genertional stuff. But IO will say this, remember, what goes around comes around and everyone has their lonely time in life,so do unto others as you would have them do unto you for when you are grandma age and lonely, you will want to be able to love and talk with your grands too.

One of my grandmothers was the center of my life until she passed away at age 56, I was 15 (I'm 26). My other grandma passed on last August, she lived 2,500 miles away. I wish I had a grandma to talk to, enjoy her while you can.

Depends on the granny! My paternal never stops and my maternal is pretty normal in that respect. Anyway, I love them both all the same.

Of course and you get to hear the same stories over and over and over. Would not miss it for anything though, because i know when she is gone i will remember those stories and still be able to feel close to her when she is gone

I wish mine would talk more. Alzheimer's is ugly. Enjoy your grandma while you have her.
