Im 6'3'' ...175lbs...40yrd-4.8...was a defensive end last year caus i weighed 190...but now my couch just saw me at spring practice and said i look like a wide receiver caus i lost weight.
My 40yrd was taken last year when i weighed 15 pounds more, and i know for a fact that i have gotten quicker...based on my 300 yrd shuttle times compared to last year.
Would i make a good receiver???

Does being 190 lbs make you lose a step? Now, how of a difference is 4.8 40 vs 4.3? To me, the bulkier, the better. Terrell Owens is not the fastest, but he sure can out muscle a lot of CB's and SS's. So, you can look like Randy Moss (tall and skinny) or Terrell Owens (Big and bulky)....

U decide what u feel most comfortable in

The physical attributes are there. The fact you are questioning "if" you would be a good receiver makes me wonder, do you like offense or defense better? With your size and "good hands", as you state, I believe you can be an excellent receiver, "if" you want to and put in the practice time to learn the routes, the defensive reads, etc. Since you've played defense, you know defense is reaction, whereas offense is action. You choose which you want, then practice hard to be the best. Good luck to you!

I don't care that much about how fast you can run. Can you get open? Can you catch the ball? Can you block on the corner? If you can do these things, you can play wide receiver. Size is a factor and speed is a factor but not as important as they may seem. Not at the high school level.

I hope your couch sees you in the living room too . . . caus he misses you!

You have the speed and height. My question to you would be if you have that hands? What leauge? And of course, how old you are?

it would be helpful if you are skinnier, because skinnier=less weigh to carry= faster, but i guess it's ok if you are fast and big, as long as you can catch pretty good, you'll be an good reciever, plus you are tall, al ot of DBs are short, but quick

Ask your coach.

Really. He'd like you to be a beast of a WR.

You are asking Internet Yahoos.
