Illegal Immigrants. Anybody agree with them?

Question

They're coming here illegally and taking our jobs from right under our noses. They're using our hospitals without paying. They're not paying taxes. They're getting all this free stuff from the loyal tax-paying citizens. They're begging the gonvernment for money (which they get in the form of welfare checks), and then protesting that America is being "unfair" about their immigration laws. They're recieving free stuff like money, clothes, electronics, and services and they say that "they have nothing". They live in an English-speaking country, but they do not bother to learn the NATIONAL LANGUAGE. Instead, they're forcing others to learn they're language(s).
I'm very appreciative of the ones who become REAL citizens and i'm not trying to scold anybody. I'm also not mad at the ones who speak their native language in their home, i think everybody has that right.
I think we need to stop giving them free-bees.
Do you agree? why or why not??

Ok. I'm going to just say it. I do think that Bush is a little off.. but I am a Republican.
I'm telling you this to quench your curiousity, what I party am in should not affect your answer.

I am merely asking a simple question of opinion. I never meant to scold anybody. The illegals are not "poor" they are receiving free money that they could easily work for. Everybody's gotta pay taxes, they can not be counted out just because they "have a hungry family". That's their problem, not the country's.

Please, people, I'm only asking for optinions, i'm not trying to "send then back home". Just asking for opinions.

And I'm not "dissing" anybody. I'm reporting pure facts and asking your opinion on it.

Okay first of all I'm going to say I'm a very proud Canadian however due to my relationship and my boyfriend being transfered for work we have moved. He has a green card because of his father though. I however am I suppose "illegal".

BUT I do not work, I don't not rely on any of the government, and I'm a college student.

I would NEVER go on welfare even in Canada because I was raised that's for bums and low lives.

I speak English and I speak it properly- which in all reality is not spoked in America- it's a lot of slang and it bugs me BUT this isn't Canada so I'm not going to complain.
I pay my bills, I go to college, and what I can't afford my boyfriend pays for since it was his job that got us here in the first place.

As for the doctors and hospitals- I have to go to the doctor at the end of this month and I have to pay just as much as you do and I'm not complaining. Sure I could go home and get free healthcare but by the time I pay for gas or a flight there it's the same as paying to see a doctor here so I'm saving the hassel and going here. Which I don't see as a problem since it's a quick visit to get another year supply of birth control pills and I'm back out! I'm paying for it and I'll tell you 1 thing I'm paying 3 times what I'd be paying in Canada for birth control pills. BUT I'm not going to complain since I can either pay or get pregnant and I'd rather pay.

Is America unfair to me? No. They're being pretty damn nice if you ask me. They haven't kicked me out but I'm also not doing anything illegal.
I have received nothing for free and I will not take anything for free because I wasn't raise to accept stuff.

Sure there are freeloaders and there always will be but there are some people who are here because of a relationship and we want nothing more than to be happy with our partner.

As for the jobs- in Canada we're taking in people because they'll do the jobs that Canadians wont...so maybe Americans need to get out there and do the job? I personally if I become a citizen which is likely when I marry my boyfriend I will be opening a day care and if that's a problem well too bad! I'm not going to cancel my dream just because someone else doesn't like it. Tough luck! If I'm competition well get over it! Let the best day care win in my opinion.
but in the end I'm not here to leach off the government, to steal jobs, etc. I'm here to be with my boyfriend and not end a great thing because of a border and as long as I'm doing it all legally I see no problem!

Do I agree with you? I do! Extremely! I hate when people come to canada and act like they own the place or just go on welfare.
However like I said, I personally am doing it legally and hopefully not upsetting anyone along the way....

I am against anyone breaking the law such as illegal immigrants and anyone sucking off the system such as those committing welfare fraud. An illegal immigrant receiving benefits makes me doubly mad. Not only did they not pay anything into the system and are receiving the benefits of citizens, they came here illegally on top of it. Where does it say in the big stone tablet in the sky we must support all of those living here? That statement saying we are a land of immigrants is stupid. We are not talking about the millions who immigrated legally through Ellis Island or those arriving legally from all over the world, we are talking about those who sneaked across the border ignoring our law. Most people forget one simple fact, the term illegal makes them criminals to begin with. I have no problem with anyone legally immigrating here. At least that way they are must learn the language.

I saw a very interesting story in an email. You come home from work and someone has broken into your home, but they have made all your beds, cleaned your home and washed your clothes. Dinner is on the table. They want to stay in your home, cleaning, washing and cooking for you. The only thing they did that was wrong was to break into your home. Would you allow them (he/she) to stay in your home?? Of course not. They still broke into your home, call the police! Interesting analogy. Unfortunately, immigrants have children who are raised in America and have now formed gangs because they want everything given to them. It is a familiar cycle. All successful countries are having the same problem with different immigrants, we are not alone.

Illegal immigrants are taking the jobs that we Americans are too lazy to do in the first place. Perhaps if we got off of our lazy asses once and a while and did physical labor ourselves, illegal immigration wouldn't be such a problem.

I understand your anger and frustration...
Here's mine... I seem to run across ppl on the side of the freeway on a dialy basis... who the hell are these ppl? U.S. Citizens asking for money!!! they aren't even trying to get a job! they're freeloaders who are also on welfare! Then I see illegal immigrants selling whatever they can to make a living..
I am a U.S. Citizen I work hard for my money and my ex is on welfare, Why? addiction??? WTF!

I AGREE. They always get the perks just because they're illegal. Like, when I go to the doctors, all the immigrants get first choice. Its simple things like that, which get people ticked. Its our country. Its okay if they are becoming citizans, but I am FULLY against illegals

I agree, if they can't follow the rules, then they need to get out of this country that is harboring them with no problem. They are not contributing to this society, why are they allowed here and allowed to be parasites of all of us hard working citizens.
