well the pokemon Magmar is found in those locations. so why are u asking? if ur looking on a game or something look in some of the caves or at cinnabar island.

Isn't Magmar a pokemon? I remember when Ash won a badge battling it. he was supposedly the only one to beat it. How did everyone else get their qualifying badges when Ash is the only trainer to have ever beaten some of these gym leaders.

you mean Magma, that is lava that has not rose to the earth's surface. you will find that under the ground mainly near volcanos and hotspots/hotsprings
