Our horses don't mind the barn cats, although my gelding has issues with a couple of our dogs. He'll chase them.

Horses generally do like cats, especially if they are the kind of horse that is gentle and curious by nature. Most horses are more likely to lick a cat and make its fur look like its had a swirlie than to hurt it.
The cat liking the horse on the other hand is a different story.

It depends on the horse. Most that I've ever been around pretty much ignore them unless they get really underfoot and the animal almost steps on them or if they suddenly dart around from under them or suddenly into their vision. The barn I was at the horses could care less about them. The cats would go in and drink out of their water buckets and they wouldn't so much as twitch an ear but it will depend on the horse's temperament.

I have five horses and two cats, The cats are always in the barn, four of the horses enjoy the company while my gelding just seems disturbed by anything joining him, I guess Horses feel like some of us do about solicitors.

Some do, some don't. I used to have a cat that would sleep on my horse's back. I also have a mare that chases cats out of the pasture. Depends on the horse.

My horse liked cats, I've even seen one sleeping on his back! But I've also seen cats TEASE horses!
I guess it's pretty individual -- some horses like cats, some don't.

Depends on the horse. Some of my horses play with them, the others can't stand them. But I think if they have been around them for a while, then they will have a better chance.
