Some babies get irritable. Some cry more. But all babies 'gum' everything and start drooling all over the place.

There are many signs that your infant is teething, such as being irratable, fevers and colds for no apparent reason, biting down on things or "gumming", drooling, ect. However, the teething process can be a long one, an infant can start going through this process as early as three months, and still not have the teeth break through the gum until up to 9 months. Baby orajel and infant motrin are good things to have around, teething rings that have been put in the freezer (and if you freeze them completely chances are your baby will not take to it, it will be way too cold for their little hands) and chilled helps alot. :) Oh, p.s. buy some advil migrane for yourself...you will thank me later.

I thought my daughter was teething several times over the months. Finally at 11 months she cut a tooth-I didn't notice too much fussing with that one but over the last 2 weeks while she's cut two more she's been pretty fussy. I can tell it's bugging her because she wants to be held, bites her own fingers, drools, and wants to nurse non stop. She is also having a tough time sleeping and wakes often. I gave her tylenol for the first time last night and she slept for 4 hours and when it wore off she woke up. All I can say is you'll know...

alot of slobbering and chewing on things sometimes a low grade fever or some babies get cranky. I use all natural teething tablets I get at wal mart and give them to the babies whenever i feel theyre teething and the best thing is theyre all natural so i dont have to worry about giving them medication (such as oragel or tylenol) if im not 100% sure its teeth

there are many signs, and children can start teething very young. they will drool, chew on EVERYTHING,fever ,runny nose, ears will hurt, diarrhea, very cranky, and their little gums get kinda clear looking.. get some motrin, you can try baby oral gel but if that doesn't work ask your pediatrician for some tempagesic.tempagesic is an ear medication but works excellent on their gums.take a wash cloth wet half of it then freeze it, give it to them to chew on.they also have have them vibrating teething rings, they work good because it massages their gums. well good luck be patient.i'm going through it now.
