If you can't afford to buy your clothing at the mall like so many of your fellow students, try shopping at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, Goodwill Industries Thrift Store, Value Village Thrift Store, etc. You can often fine up-to-date fashions for just a few dollars.

No one really asked what kind of style you like. Can you think of a couple famous people (young actresses or like that) whose styles seems to fit well with your personality? Most people can do that to some extent - some people to a high extent. Then you can go on a website and find clothing that looks very similar at a much lower price. (You just google "fashion style of gwyneth paltrow" or fashion of rachel bilson" for instance.)

Target is fabulous. They have the same capris you find at American Eagle at a third of the cost.

But that is for teens. Perhaps you are younger than that.

If you can't even decide how to clothe yourself without having other people tell you what to do, I think you have bigger things to worry about...

Wear what appeals to you.
