One topic that I have noticed repeatedly that's up for
discussion, though never fully resolved is the concept of the natural Witch. You don't hear about much natural born lawyers or doctors do you? Now, I will say that there are certainly individuals who possess natural talents and abilities that enable them to be very talented Witches, but still, one must learn how to use these properly first! And nearly all human beings at one time or another (depending on how well society suppresses them) have "psychic" tendencies---it's not an unusual thing. The Pagan/Mystery Path religions certainly do allow for a great more acceptance of these abilities than other religions, which is why they're often associated with each other.

If something is 'natural' to a person then it means that they did not go out of their way to learn it. Some individuals have strong psychic abilities that they were born with, essentially inherited from either one of his/her parents or grandparents or even further back. I believe that everyone has some psychic potential but many people have to learn how to do certain things while with others it is just a part of the person. A good example is shamanism. Strong shamanism travels in genetic lines, it is inherited. But I have often seen 'classes' offered at $50.00 or so that teaches shamanism. These individuals are fooling themselves. If they did manage anything they would be considered lowest on the ladder. For your information before Christianity actually set in and split things up shamans, witches, seers, oracles, wizards, prophetess, enchantress etc were all in the same bag, essentially the same people. When the Catholic church decided to take all the power they had to discredit all of these people and make it sinful. Think, why would someone go to a catholic priest who couldn't help, prophecy, have visions etc when the individuals could go to someone else who could? The church was into money and power. However I don't believe that is was that way when first set up. Constantine made sure that Mithraism carried on, and these people were accepted in Mithraism. The bible wasn't ratified until approximately 600 ce. During this time many things were inserted into the bible and other things left out, some things were deliberately altered and falsified. The Mithraic codes and symbols that were an inherent part of all religions were meant to stay that way, but didn't. There is no difference between a witch and a christian. Grab a pen, paper and a bible and type this url into your address bar (http://ca.geocities.com/rachelpowerslane)
Read these pages and confirm them, then learn about the religions of the ancient world, then take a good hard look at the church, who set it up, when and why and the politics around it. Think, figure it out.
Last, but not least, neither be proud nor ashamed of what and who you are and the abilities you were born with. Just be 'natural'.

This is what I found on the faqs at the witchcrafted site

"A natural witch is a person who was born with unnatural magical abilities. A natural witch may be highly psychic, telekinetic, or sensitive to auras. Some may even be able to speak to animals. Witches who are not born with these abilities may spend their entire lives developing them. Most natural witches have a mother or grandmother who was also a natural witch, but naturals can also arise from any hereditary background."

Now from personal experience let me tell you. do not believe those that tell you that there is no such thing as witches natural or one that has studied. My grandmother use to practice when she was much younger and when I use to practice spells and chants would come very easily to me and yes they usually worked (in one form or another). Good Luck on your path :)

No, it doesn't mean that one of your parents is a witch, but that you would easily understand. This is not to say that somewhere in your family history, there wasn't a witch or witches, and therefore in your blood.
Some people study and study and still have a hard time "getting it". You know how some people are just naturally talented at sports? Or that some women are just naturally beautiful and don't have to spend hours getting ready by putting on tons of makeup? Well, that's basically the same concept.

The faqs bubblvicous found are right. A natural witch is one whose powers come from with in. Wheither you are natural or not you have to work at your powers and learn the way you want to use them. Usually it comes from a decent in the bloodline. Whatever you decide to do, don't be scared of what you have and who you are & take control of it. Try this:

It means you are naturally cunning and you are able to get what you want. Another way of saying it would be you are spoiled.

You all with training don't understand ,when a American says you're a natural _________, anything, it just means you have characterisitcs of a certain profession without trying. A natural pitcher, is someone who can pitch well without training, a natural vetinarian, is someone who has characteristics that make him a good vet. etc. It has nothing to do with Mother nature.

individually, i do no longer placed loads of inventory interior the words "organic witch". somewhat, to me, that merely is the equivalent of exclaiming that a individual is perceptive and open. Such all of us is probable extra susceptible in direction of religious paths and practices alongside with witchcraft or Wicca. they do no longer inevitably be attentive to a thank you to forged spells and such with out training. "organic witch" would be plenty comparable to "organic alchemist", "organic Christian student" or "organic college graduate". It somewhat does not make experience. a individual could have tendencies, yet that's no longer an alternate to training or journey. some all of us is extra proper waiting to concentration skill, yet it is probable through fact such issues weren't repressed while they have been toddlers. loads of witchcraft is "unlearning" the failings which you have been taught could no longer be completed, or that have been "imaginary". possibly people who have not been programmed to "stay interior the lines" are what some call "organic". the ingredient is that any it is straightforward to study those issues. Witchcraft is the prepare of the organic.
