Vegas... to be reasonable would mean to exercise common sense.... unreasonable extremist lost their common sense long age thereby having no hold on reality... Andy R proves the point by senselessly rambling on and attacking your character... That is the most common play out of the Lib handbook.
And as for jl_jack09 ... what do you care what the debt is... it's the hard working republicans that will be paying it down along with the small percentage of libs that aren't on welfare. How about we cut funding for most of the wasteful socialist programs and take a bite out of that debt huh?

I get tired of being expected to be PC. I hate PC! I will state my opinion, with facts to back it up.
People often generalize and when they do that they are typically WRONG. For example, one answer above indicates that the "Republicans" are the problem with people being divided. Why is it only the Republicans? Without the liberals on the other side of the issue people wouldn't be divided. People have different views and that is appropriate. Why do I have to believe the same way as the socialists?
Another example, I can't in good conscience believe that amnesty is good for this country. According to the Senate's piece of crap bill, everyone should feel that amnesty is a "positive thing." From my research, it will bankrupt America. Illegals are criminals because they are breaking our laws - I know, that's not PC!

Sorry, I found your question to be quite offensive. Someone please call the ACLU and have this person (who may or may not be a woman, but even if so is my equal or better in every possible way and deserves respect) hauled off to Gitmo.
Honestly, most people are tired of the rants as their only purpose is to allow people to vent. Nothing is ever solved through rants.
Open, thoughtful discussion is the only solution to the problem and to bring the PEOPLE back together. Sadly, the polititicans will do everything to prevent this as it makes campaigning more difficult.
Keep the faith.

It is not politically incorrect to be a reasonable person. If your argument is academic and not imbued with emotion, then you are being reasonable.
Though being reasonable isn't politically incorrect, it is possible to have a politically incorrect, yet reasonable, question or answer.

Reason, logic, facts and evidence is alwasy politically incorrect. It's too objective. Hence it's inconsistent with Post-Modernist Cultural Marxism from which "political correctness" derives. Welcome to Oceana!!

Actually, that's a good question. It would be nice to have a few more middle of the road beliefs around here. I think of myself as neither a Democrat or republican, just an American who wants a good life for my kids and to have all the rights and more that I and my forefathers had.

Yep. I'm tired of hearing the anti-cons crying and whining about everything imaginable. I'm tired of the 9/11 Conspiracy whackos, the ones that are anti-war and burning our beloved flag who are fathers died for, pro baby killers, and most importantly, the environmentalists. I mostly hear it from the other side....not the right.

Great question. Sad reality. But ... you are not the only one.
Political correctness is just an 'excuse' for failure to think. Ralph Waldo Emerson said the hardest thing for a person to do is to think. So, thinking is rare and political correctness (or belief in mindless dogmas) is common. This is a dangerous problem for any democracy and puts us at great risk.
Thanks for an intelligent political question - something rare on Yahoo!Answers.

I love your question, and I run into similar feelings when politics are brought up at work. Where I work is very liberal (traditionally), and I lean more toward the conservative. I've never had to bite my tongue more. However, the thing that I find most irritating is when people spout opinions, but if you ask them why, they have no idea.

I consider myself a reasonable person, but I do not know what is "politically correct" around here.
I generally ignore the obvious trolls, and lately they are here en masse.
