I have a friend that is selling a pure breed registered Arabian horse. The horse is a male 4-5 years old that is fixed and trained to dance to the sound of music. I just wanted to know the price or value of this horse, because I am very intreasted on buying it to ride only.

Well, depending on the size and training of the horse, it can range from $5000 to $15000.
But if your friend is selling for more than $5000, and you are really interested in an Arabian Horse, check out this website.

Sometimes what an owner thinks a horse is worth is not what they are worth. Some people try to price sentimental value. Sounds as if the horse has some dressage training (dance). A lot would depend on the age, the health, training and personality. If he's a nice horse and is healthy and you like him then try him out and buy him. I'm sure the owner will price him and then it's up to you to decide if he is worth that to you.

You're talking trained, and that's the part that costs money - alkl the trained Arabs I have seen that are purebreeds can go from $10 000 to $20000.
Make sure to check it's bloodline, ask who they are decendants of, and do an independant search through the registry. Are they crabbet arabians?

This is too general a question really. It depends what you are looking for. It would depend upon the mare's bloodlines, whether she is a successful, proven brood are, whether she has done well in Arab showing competitions, how true she is to conformation and type. For instance you could buy a mare for a six figure sum here in the UK and pay only £2,000 for a half-sister.

It does not matter what the horse is worth to his owner, only what he is worth to you. If you aren't planning to use his "dancing" ability, let someone who will cough up the 4K. I assure you that he dances to his riders commands, not the music, so you would be sorely disappointed if you expected him to entertain you on his own. If you just want a pleasure riding horse, you can get a nice one for half of this guy's price (or less in most areas of the US).

well i had an arab horse, did that and we paid a bit for him. if he is cheap, look into it, he might be sick but this person is your friend so probrably not. if he has been highly trained to dance anywhere between: 1000-10000 or more. my mum used to work at a horse dance school and they used to sell horses for thousands, not unusual but dont be suprised if its expensive. just ask him/her about the price

hope it helps

wow!

i am really shocked, i live in dubai where there are lots of arabians here, and you have got a great deal. $4000 us dollars is a good price, here a horse (if it is as great as it is made out to be) costs a heap depending on its bloodlines and conformtion. i wouldnt recommend him for a family horse as arabs get spooked and are best for one experienced guy as arabs are a one man horse. and they are mainly used for endurance riding making their stamina excellent and if they are treated well and trained well they can make and ideal horse. if trained well for whatever part of equine sport the arabian can excell in its area.

i hope this helps

This sounds like a very good deal to me -- as long as the horse is trained to be RIDDEN, not just do tricks.
