True, sleeping with the engine running puts you at great risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
True, most cars are not airtight.
That temperature is cool enough for your metabolism to slow, reducing the amount of carbon dioxide you generate.
However, the carbon dioxide concentration will increase, so it would be healthier to provide for some air exchange. If you must do this on a regular basis and don't feel safe leaving the windows open 1/3 inch or so, then invest in a small, battery powered exhaust fan. 2 or 3 air changes in 8 hours should be enough, and that's probably less than half a CFM (cubic foot per minute).

i think of this is ridiculous, i only can no longer have confidence absolutely everyone seems to be truthfully nevertheless so uneducated that they don't comprehend how risky this is. there is only no reason to smoke close to a baby, whether they could't end they do no longer could desire to divulge the baby to the smoke. in case you're outdoors you are able to positioned the baby contained in the stroller or automobile seat and step away, in case you're interior you are able to positioned the baby in a playpen close to the door or window and smoke outdoors. this is no longer that lots paintings. i'm the choice of you on the different issues you reported however, i do no longer think of that third hand smoke from outfits is probably lots worse than different pollutants human beings divulge their childrens too, yet human beings could desire to give up smoking as quickly as their youngster is sufficiently old to make certain they smoke. childrens who've mum and dad who smoke are far extra probably to strengthen as much as be human beings who smoke.

Nope.
No vehicle is airtight. Carbon dioxide would not have a chance to build up to lethal levels. If, on the other hand, you sleep with the motor running, Carbon MONoxide has a real good shot at ending your life.

Not for a few hours but without the engine running. Better to open the windows once in a while.

No. But nothing is impossible! I've slept in my car before from temperatures in the 80s clean down to freezing... it's worked fine.

No
I don't think so
Cause I used to have to sleep in a car
And I think you wake up before you suffocate
So you have time to open up a window if needed
